Hey all. Recently I ordered ome 881 springs to go along with my 5100s I currently am running. I am planning on building a winch bumper. Will these springs be too light duty for the bumper and winch? What’s the best ome spring for the job? Thanks.

Bilstein 5100’s with ome 881 coils on lowest setting, JBA upper control arms, LCE header, 31x10.5x15 falken wildpeaks.
I have the 881’s on 5100’s set at the lowest setting with no added weight up front. Maybe if you go up one notch on them you’ll be fine.

not sure because I replaced the stock coilovers with the rough country spacer with the 5100’s and 881’s so I’m not sure when the stock measurement was but tomorrow I can get some measurements for you from center of hub to fender and from ground to fender. Rear is stock.

What are my options for vendors with 880 and Bilstein 5100 assembled. What do you guys think about Suspension Lifts? When I call it seems a bit sketchy. I want to order today and have them here next week.

Look into Toytec. I got 880 with OME nitrochargers. Everything came perfect and ready to install. They even had the proper trim packer in there.

I played guinea pig in this thread, seeking a package with assembled coilovers and Bilsteins and am totally pleased with their service. You got little/no response via phone because although they are based out of Canada, they ship from warehouses across the U.S.

No one could beat their price on assembled coilovers. Via email they responded almost immediately. I received the coilovers and shocks within days instead of weeks. Here is how they shipped them. They assemble the coilovers themselves and even so, received them in 3 days.

Awesome! I think I’ll give suspension lifts a shot with OME 880s and Bilstein 5100s. AND it’s not Columbus Day weekend in Canada?

Ordered the OME 880 with Bilstein 5100, on the lowest setting. <=1.5inch lift coming from the coil. Easy install by jacking down the upper control arm. 569$ for the set, free shipping, 4 or 5 day arrival, secure packing, shipped from the US.

I got the 880’s to begin with then I got the 881’s and I like the 881’s better. A little more lift and still a good ride. A bit stiff but that’s better than squishy IMO. Hope you like them!

Ya. I think mine are a tad squishy. I was being conservative and the new assembly called for up to 1.5” lift on stock, which is what I had before. I think you might be able to see it with the old/new coils/shocks laying next to each other below. I guess I have the option to move up to the next notch. I read, from a credible source here, amongst deniers, that bringing the shock up to the next notch does not change the dampening.
Either way still way better than the blown out bushings below. I tried the moog bushing replacement. No bueno. Immediately upon setting the truck down I realized…umm no bueno.

Yeah I don’t really have any complaints on them. They are fairly nice for the price. Either move it up a notch, get 881 coils, or add extended studs on the tophat and get 1/4” spacer which would give you 1/2” of lift.

I bought 5100’s front n back w/881 on first notch. Then went rear ome leaf packs removed one overload and have bushing kit and greasable shackles and man what a difference. So nice if a ride now. Had to move front to 2nd notch and total lift is 2.5-3” I think you will like them go with 881

Over the phone maybe because they are an internet business. They are based out of Canada, bot operate in the U.S. with a Torrance, CA address. They ship from multiple warehouses across the U.S., my order came from two warehouses in a matter of days instead of 7-10. I found their communications to be responsive and the best prices I found on assembled coilovers/shocks. I recently installed coilovers and rear shocks, and this is how they came.

I don't understand why few trust them, IME they were stellar.
