I’m going to try going without the spacer since bilstein and majority of the guys on here strongly advised against keeping it. But I’m interested to know how that goes for you so feel free to send an update! I honestly hate my spacers but I like my ride height at 3”

Update: putting spacers back on until my new coils come in. Ride height wasn’t nearly enough to clear my tires. Looked like I dropped a big block motor in my taco lmao

That doesn’t smell right, a spacer doesn’t change the suspension geometry any differently than a new spring does. Why would it destroy your ball joints any faster than any other lift? Riding around on a preloaded 5100 will definitely destroy your back’s ball joints though.

I’ve got Billy’s on my truck front and rear, front at 1.75 setting with stock coils. Levels out the truck and rides super smooth. Just my input :spy:C4C2A0CB-2467-43D1-9ACC-456D54EB1ECE.jpg

Yes a spacer does change the geometry, just like every single lift you could use. Spacers do change the stroke of the shock slightly and whatever the difference is will be lost at full extension. It doesn’t change the load on the spring though, at least not noticeably, otherwise you wouldn’t be netting any lift.

Yeah I did the same and my ride height is still at 3”. Without spacers there wasn’t enough clearance.
