I set my 5100's up front to 2" with the stock coils (as recommended by Bilstein). Naturally it sits higher in the front right now.

I'm going to ad 1" lift in the rear, and this will level the Taco, as it now sits 37" in front and 36" in the rear. Regardless, the ride is great, but like you, I want a level look, but without the slight forward rake that you are looking for.

I'm guessing if you set your front @ 1.1" and ad that 1/2" rear spacer you will get that slight rake, or perfectly level without the spacer. Personally, I wouldn't ad the 1/2" spacer, but that's just me.

    Good luck

This weekend, I swapped the front body mounts to get rid of the thunk sounds and got tired of seeing the Icon RXT packs lying on the garage floor. It was an easy swap. I do hope they break in a bit as I was hoping for factory ride high with about 1.5in rake. 3in makes the hood much less noticeable though.:rofl:

Before leaf swap with 1/2 tank and new front body mounts:
    LF: 20 3/4in RF: 21in
    LR: 21 1/4in RR: 21 3/8in

After leaf swap with 1/2 tank and new front body mounts:
    LF: 20 3/4in RF: 20 3/4in
    LR: 23 3/4in RR: 24 1/8in

Thanks, but a bit too much rake. Once I get the 5100s, I will get it to about 1.5in. I didn't want to go up 1.5in in the front, but that's the deal.

Drives like a champ right now with much less body roll.

Hell yeah sounds like a plan. 1.5” or so of rake is perfect

Thanks for all the great info here, got 5100’s in stock from shock surplus last week and installed them in about 5 hours today. First time doing them, but no issues really.

Went with the 4th position for 1.5” up front and 1” in the rear to keep a touch of rake. Have 5 Stealth 6’s and Wildpeaks ready to get put on Thursday, along with an alignment.

In my brief around the neighborhood test run, the ride feels pretty similar to my stock sport suspension. Perfect for me, I’m really happy with this setup! Now I really can’t wait to get the wheels on!

Nice! I’m thinking of doing the same. Did you use a spring compressor? Post some pics once you’ve got the wheels and tires mounted.

I don’t see the need, they went in and out easily and safely without. Light pressure on the lca with the jack. Remove the top nut, remove the steering knuckle bolts, loosen the lca bolts (after marking the alignment in all 4 places) and then gently lower the jack. Remove lower shock bolt and it all drops right out. This keeps the shock in place, was very uneventful.

Will def post pics. I’ll be stoked lol

That’s great to hear. I didn’t want to use a spring compressor anyway. I hear the challenge is fishing the shock through the top hat hole as you compress it back up. I guess I’ll just have to try it. Thanks for the info. What size tires are you going with?

That’s easy, especially with a 2nd set of hands to work the jack, don’t even stress about it.

I’m doing 265/70/17’s. Don’t want to take too much of a hit to the mpg and livability. Maybe next set I’ll go bigger lol

I hear ya. I’m guessing you did a block in the rear? Any issues there?

    yep, 1” block.

No issues at all, rear super easy. I saw one video suggesting dropping the rear axle all at once which seemed more complicated than necessary. Did it one side at a time, 2nd took like 15 minutes.

You should consider 255/75/17 pizza cutters. Bigger tire, less rubbing.
