    Nice! 2 Questions:
    • Did you need to do new UCAs in front?
    • Did you need to extend brake line in rear?
Stress on the "need to do" vs. "did it cause I wanted to".

EDIT - and what size tires you running?

hi man! I was going through the thread and saw your post.

i was looking for same setup as yours. I am looking for 1 1/2 front and 1 block on rear.

would this be level or it would keep rear a bit taller? I would like to have a rake in case I load something I am not nose high…

With 1.1" up front, your Taco will be level. If your not lifting the rear, do you even need to replace your rear OR shocks????

Haha, ended up 2.5" front when set on the highest clip. Rear I did AAL for 1.5". Ended up with a 0.5" rake.

After a few thousand miles and road trips, debating changing the front spring to eibachs and set the clip to 0, and replacing rear AAL wtih Dakars leaf pack or progressive 3 leafs.

I know this is an older post, but I am looking to do the exact set up on my Tacoma and was hoping you could tell me if you had to install a diff drop with that set up? Thanks in advance.

Way better. Still a digressive shock but larger diameter with paired springs for different weight etc. Rear 5160 res are way nice paired with Icon rxt leaf pack. I’m a happy camper

Aftermarket audio system; Bilstein 5100s; side steps; Scangauge II; and that is all, so far …
Just got my setup with my Bilstein 5100s on all four corners. Set at number 3 in the front with no blocks nor leafs added to the rear. Also, I left the stock UCAs on and didn’t install a diff drop. Love the ride, especially driving at a pretty good clip along a power line road here ridden with rocks, sands, steep dips and trenches in the southern New Mexico desert! And she still rides smooth as butter on the interstate going 75 mph tracking straight as an arrow. CFF35DEC-EB00-4E7A-9332-A96460826AAE.jpg

Hey guys and girls, I have TWO questions about my Taco and 5100's as well:

I recently put on a Roadmaster Active Suspension, which is essentially an AAL. It probably gave me another 1" in the rear. I just bought two 5100 fronts and getting ready to install them...

#1 I see one guy who put in a carrier bearing lowering kit... did I need that? Did anyone else do that?! I don't feel vibration but did I miss an important consideration?! Doh!!!

#2 does anyone have issues with vibration with this small lift (say 5100's at #4 setting and an AAL in the rear?)???

    Many thanks!

If you don't feel vibes then you have no worries.

I felt some slight vibes when getting going, installed some shims, and life was good afterward. I went up 1.5in from stock.

Quick question for you all, I plan on putting 5100s front and rear (don't plan on doing anything to the rear) and am going to go up to 265/75/16s. What setting for the fronts would be close to level or leaving slight rake in the back? Also, do I need to put each of the fronts on different settings to account for driver's side lean?

I believe the following is correct:
3rd clip for 1.1" for a slight rake.
4th clip for 1.5" for leveled look.

I have a 1/4 spacer on the driver side front of mine, but i have mine set to 5th clip on both sides (highest setting).

Measuring after, my driver side front is higher by 1/4 inch.

Is this a good option for a 2" lift in the front? No need to worry about UCA and ideally no bearing issues??

Looking to either add air bags or AAL for rear.

Can anyone tell me what this giant washer is for? It’s not part of the instructions and doesn’t even fit over the threads anyway.

I believe that is the shim for the bump stops. See the attached instructions.

    I didn't use it myself.
