Since 4th clip groove is 1.55" and you have the 1.5" rear block it should be the same rake as factory. Personally I would get rid of the block and put in a progressive AAL which will give you 1.5" or slightly less and you could leave factory overload in that should guarantee the full 1.5".

if you do this in your driveway by yourself I would say 4 hours taking your time. And then 2 more hours to add a block on the rear… one full day from start to finish I would say…

Guess I can drive without endlinks for now. I can just cut top nut off then lower lca to release pressure on spring then remove. Correct?

No. You cannot drive with the swaybar end links removed. The sway bar ends will murder your CVs.

I haven't had the sway bar on for like 80k though. Don't miss it, and I still rally corners. That's just me though.

I did my fronts in about 2 hours the first time. Then when I tore it apart to change the clip setting i did in a hour lol you get fast when you have the routine down.

    5100 w/4th Clip
    1/4" Spacer on Driver
    1" Rear Block

The ride is noticeably better and the standout was front end tracking.. On rough freeway road, the front will track straight(er) without wandering off. I seems to me that the TRD OR shocks were too progressive off the top of the travel. The first couple of inches on the shocks travel had minimal compression dampening thus, the front would dip when braking. The 5100 remind me of a good/new strut on a import car, planted, firm, but not jarring.

I used 1" Ready Lift. Install was uneventful as it should be.

I started at 35.5 inches from ground to wheel well on front, 36.5 on rear

I threw on the 5100s at clip position 5. Now sitting at 37 inches in the front
I went ahead and ordered the 1 inch toytec to balance it out.

Another vote for the floating out the assembly instead of taking your life in your hands with a coil spring compressor.

Did you ever end up running this set up?

If so, how did you like it?

    Any photos?

Bilstein 5100’s set to the 5th notch on stock springs. Rear is Icon AAL with the headstrong offroad 1/2” shim for an additional 1/2” of lift.

I can confirm that the 5th notch on stock springs provides almost exactly 2” of lift. I previously had the 2” Rough Country leveling pucks, which are just a 2” thick piece of metal. The ride height is identical with these Bilsteins as far as I can tell. A few times it has looked like the front may be a bit lower than 2” but if so, it’s probably only by a 1/4 of an inch. That also could have just been because I was not parked on level ground.

As you can see in the pics, this is a good setup if you want your truck completely level with some weight on the back. The bed is unloaded in this pic; so there’s about 150 pounds on the rear (weight of the ARE shell).

Looking to add either 1” block or HS Deaver 1.5-2” AAL, what’s the preferred way to lift the rear. With 1” I will be setting clip to 3rd notch (1.1) so I can maintain rake. If I get the AAL I will go with the 4th clip. Don’t haul or tow anything, about 150 lbs of constant load with prinsu rack OE tonneau cover and tools. Will it be necessary to use the extended version if going to go with AAL?

I just threw a block on mine, paired with the 4th clip.
I am happy with the ride height, comfort and look.

This is the same setup I have (regular 5100s all around, fronts set at 3rd notch, and Deaver AALs in the rear) and its been totally fine. To give you more confidence, I talked to the folks at Headstrong Offroad prior to my install and also bugged a number of people on here with the same setup. The consensus was its fine with the regular length 5100s.

How’s the truck look leveled? Or slight rake?

nice! I’m leaning towards this route.

Looks good thanks for the pic. I want to maintain factory rake so I’ll probably go with a single AAL
