Guess someone doesn't know everything! I was advised not to use aftermarket springs. Some do and have good success and are totally satisfied, I get that. However I have been in a truck very similar to mine and he has been through 2 sets of ome. So he is back in the factory coils, I must say the ride was better.

Can't tell you how many times I have read where it compresses the coil. Bad info, I will listen to my local shop and Bilstein too, I mean hell they are the ones behind the 5100s.

I want to keep replying just to keep this valuable info above all the other BS that people keep preaching through hearsay about the 5100 set.

    A few.
My question is, why do you see so many people installing the OME Coils with the Bilstein 5100s including reputable shops like 88 rotors? And why are they sold that way from online retailers? There is also the thing that Bilstein has coils they sell also.

Just because other do it doesn't make it right.

Just because a few people lied doesn't make it suddenly truth.

Personally I think it’s good news. Everyone gets to save some money and keep their warranty if the email is correct. If it’s a self install, just have a local shop put the fronts together with the springs.

A lot of online sellers probably do that so they can sell them already together which appeals to more doing the replacement themselves.

What's funny is this has been the stance since the beginning. But these aftermarket guys don't make much on 5100's alone so along come springs and leafs.

I’m glad I came across this thread, honestly the first I’ve heard that. Saves money for me, and I’d have a shop do it anyways.

Crazy right. Glad I’m sticking with factory springs. I can’t say it enough I’m super stoked on my set up. Ride is awesome

2019 TRD off-road with 275/70/17 looking at the 5100s on 1.55 (4th) notch and 1inch rear block. Would this still maintain some rake?

Measure your current rake and see if 1.55” front and 1“ rear will leave any or level you out.

my truck 1.1” front 0” rear left me perfectly level.

1.5” front lift with 1.5” rear lift. Maintains factory rake or close to it. Factory rake on DCLB is like 1.3/4” . 1.5” front and 1” block probably close to 3/4 or more rake

Easy enough. I’m at 1.25 lower in the front over the rear right now with my wheel and tire set up

Thank you mds08 for your suggestions, I went with the setup similar to yours. For front, I did the 5100 with stock spring on the 4th slot, and rear with 5100 and 1in block so I can get it to close leveling as possible.
Btw, I have the 2020 TRD Sport DCSB.
    Before - Front 34 7/8, Rear 35 3/4
    After - Front 36 1/2, Rear 37

next upgrade, TRD Sema Wheel, 17x7 with Falken AT3W 275/70R17

The stock coils are 700# or more (one company measured them at 717#). A lot of owners get 600lb aftermarket coils and find the ride is worse and they lose lift in the front.

No issue with the Bilstein & stock springs. I find the ride is a bit better than factory Hitachi shocks (TRD Sports), still has a good response and not harsh.
