Does the front end dive on braking?

Do you have to use factory leaf springs too to keep the warranty? I need more spring in the back to compensate for the camper shell. I don't want it level. I want my load capacity back and not all bro lean with a bit of cargo back there.

1.5” -2” add a leaf would be good. Or a full leaf pack.

Same question. Only reason for me to switch out shocks. Good info in this thread.

Update a few months, and a few off roads later. Probably put 3k-5k miles on the truck since my last post and changed out the wheels. I will do tires later.

The truck is riding great. Looks great. Performs noticeably different Offroad.

If you use your Taco like my write up describes in my OP, I think you will be happy with this set up. Always happy to answer questions.

Yeah, this confuses me too. Is there some adjustment at the top to compensate for moving up to a higher position on the bottom?

No the way it works is it compresses your spring and that compression is what gives you lift

I’m a little confused. If I set the front shocks at the third setting, do I do the same for the rear shocks, or do they not have settings? Also, if I do the third setting with a 1 inch rear block, will I maintain the factory rake? Thanks!

No adjustment on rear. That sounds about right but might as well add an aal instead of a spacer

This is correct. No matter the setting the ride quality is the same. I have two tacos on Bilstein 5100s and the ride quality is the same. Some need to do more research!

No height adjustment for the rear Bilstein 5100, but it’s tolerable from 0-1in lift, although some has done 2in lift without issue but not recommended by Bilstein. I did the 1 in block for the rear, same as mds08.
Your ride will be different with different tires also, example I just replaced the factory Toyo all season P265/65/17 to Falken LT275/70/17 with 6 plys tire, and it does ride stiffer now due to the harder compound tires. So keep in mind not only the shocks makes a difference, the tires will also make a BIG difference on ride quality. Just my 2 cent.

Thanks! I have KO2 265/75/16s right now. They are load range e but ride surprisingly well.

If I want to keep the stock rake look without any extra lift, I can go all 4 corners with the 5100, set the front to the second notch from the bottom, nothing added to the rear, and can install myself in the driveway? Sounds great! Also, why would I need an alignment with this setting? Thanks!
