Yeah my alignment has been a little wondering and still have slight negative camber bugging the shit out of me. So I bought the spc pricey but with it. I’ll be able to dial it in. I watched some videos on installs. Very cool. I was sold. I’ll post a pic no problem

Why are you going with such heavy duty aftermarket spings on a light access cab?! Getting full steel armor all around?

I just put 5100's on all 4 corners of my Gen 3 2016 V6 Limited and kept everything at stock height - mainly because I didn't want to have to buy another trailer hitch receiver. The stock height was perfect and with the new shocks, it's still perfect.

Only difference I have noticed is that they are just a bit stiffer than stock - probably because they are new and the originals had over 80,000 miles on them... Also, rebound is MUCH better.

    Well worth doing!

I figured I would change out the coils after 103 K . Would the 885 be less stiff? Or would I be better off just getting OME? Replacements

Im wondering the same thing sorta. Looking to do 1-2” lift with springs rather than just spacers.

Guys, the Bilstein 5100's are valved and tuned for the *stock OEM shocks. They do not recommend running aftermarket *shocks. Its only the sales people you're buying from or your local truck shop that wants to sell you OME *shocks with your 5100 Bilstein shocks. I would highly recommend that you do not put 886 springs on your access cab! That is crazy!
I recently put 5100's on my access cab with stock off road springs and the ride quality is improved. If you must run OME springs, do your research. The different springs are meant for additional weight above stock weight like steel bumpers and overlanding gear.

EDIT: *stock OEM springs. ...*springs... *springs

    A few.
The OME 886 Coils are not recommended to be run on bilstein 5100s period. That staight from Headstrong Offroad.

Yup, I hope that nobody would ever do that. IMO that sounds like the stiffest ride known to man!

Exactly. Just wanna do a level off , but I would wouldn’t mind going heavier with extra leafs as such so when I put dirt or firewood I would feel more confident

Just bought this set with eibach coils. I have a 3inch lift with spaces right now and want that same height. Anyone know what setting notch I should install them at?

Imo just put a 1/2” top plate spacer and don’t preload the eibach coil. Eibach coil will give 2” and 1/2” spacer will give 1” of lift. How’s your alignment? You have upper control arms?

Man this preload topic seems 50/50 in this tread. One posted direct info from fox website backing this higher setting means more preload on spring. Others seem sure about the strut setting moving down/creating lift so spring stays the same. I’d be willing to bet bilstein claims the latter theory. Idk who to believe. I want to get 1” using clip settings since I’m going away from spacers I don’t want them. Stock UCAs and 285 tires have been fine with the 3”blocks. Probably will get spc or jba soon tho as it’s recommended.

    Look into the eibachs springs.
Seem to be a sweet middle ground on spring rate and ride
