Yeah I am leaning (pun intended) towards the .85 setting which should result in an approximately 1" lift and may possible add 1/4 inch spacer to driver side to correct lean or both sides we shall see. I do not have this "TSB" everyone mentions but I do have the recall leaf pack. I don't know of any disadvantage unless your coils are shot or you plan on doing more than simply raising the front end.

Really the only disadvantage is when you use any of the preset grooves (other than "0") on the 5100's, you are now riding on pre loaded coils. The higher you go, the more you are pre loading the coil. The ride @ 2.5 is pretty harsh from what I've read. There are other factors to consider as well when we talk about the ride. For example, I have P rated tires. The ride @ 1.75" might be too harsh for me if I was riding on LTs. As it is for me, the only negative thing I notice with mine (5100's @ 1.75", on stock Offroad coils), is if I hit a pot hole with an unloaded side of the truck, the rebound is fairly rough. The example I'm thinking of, is left turn onto an on ramp, there is a small pot hole at the apex of the turn. Right side of the truck is loaded as I turn left. Left spring rebounds with more force than if it wasn't pre loaded. Nothing that makes you say WTF, but it could be smoother in that one scenario. Overall very happy with the setup, but when/if I do another suspension replacement/upgrade, I'll buy a taller set of aftermarket coils, and leave the 5100's @ either "0", or .85".

If you have either 4, or 6 clips you don't need new springs.

Judging by the picture, it looks like if you have the 2+1's with 4 clips, or the 3+1's with 6 clips your GTG. The latest round of replacements have been the 3+1 with 6.

Some folks were saying that if you had the TSB warranty done that adds a leaf you should use the 1.75 setting I assume bc the extra leaf adds some height. Are they talking about the same things as the recall? I did have that done but I'm not sure if they added a leaf or just added more clips

hold on a sec, I just checked and there are 6 clips...just not sure if they added a leaf when they did the recall or not.

Got the 5100's last week and set them to .85 the ride is amazing regret not getting them earlier the ride is firmer but not in a bad way. They soak up potholes a whole lot better then the stock shocks. Even noticed less body roll. I bought mine off wheelers off road with the 1/4 inch spacer. I highly recommend their front bump stops to

Truck might look nose high do to the driveway having a slope

Just an FYI, the 1/4" spacer is only necessary if you go to aftermarket coils. The stock coils are side specific to account for the added weight of the fuel tank on the drivers side. Probably won't notice either way, but I have a spacer sitting on my bench I never installed thinking I needed one.

Just drive, from what I understood driver side only due to the extra weight front the battery and gas tank but from what I just learned you only need the spacer if you're switching springs ome or eibach

Technically, the spacer isn't needed with any set of coils, but if you want it to measure out evenly, your going to want to add the spacer. The stock coils are side specific, but that doesn't mean the spacer isn't needed with them. I've run two different sets of stock coils both had the spacer, and both were pretty much dead even(within 2-3/16")between passenger, and driver's side. I've read that the actual culprit is the body mount bushings (mine were replaced last year with my frame), and also read that it's the radiator mount bushings as well. In either case, it was just easier to throw the spacer in to compensate for it.

Your half right. A TSB is not a recall. The purpose of the TSB is to alert the dealerships of a known issue, and if a warranty customer complains of that issue, there is typically a known fix for it. A recall is more of a blanket campaign that is sent out to everyone affected, even people like me, who have been out of warranty for years.

Even though everyone calls this last batch of springs "TSB" springs, they're actually "Recall" springs. A few years ago there was a TSB put out for people complaining of bottoming out. If they were under warranty, they got replaced under the TSB.

Trust your measurements. You know what your at now, and what the typical measurements will be with the different settings of the 5100's. Add as needed/wanted.

Before my AAL was installed, I was on the latest "Recall" leafs (which got me 0 inches of rear lift over my 10 year old 2+1 leafs), and measured dead even on all four corners. Still looked slightly nose high to me though.
