I put 5100's on my Tacoma with the lean spacer on stock springs about 6 months ago. I am sitting at the .85 setting and have started to get a vibration at 15mph to about 25 or 30mph. It does it in 4WD as well, so not sure if it is the needle bearing or something else. I just don't want to start throwing money at different things, but not sure what else it could be besides carrier bearing, u joints or leafs. Anyone else have this happen? Thanks!

You could try the carrier bearing spacer they're only $15-20, and about 5 minutes to install. A lot of guys just use washers. This will typically cause a shudder on take off.

I'm not really getting a shudder at take off. Would you recommend a Toyota part or would just going stock replacement work fine? Also it doesn't happen on decal, only when accelerating.

The carrier bearing spacer is an aftermaket part. It's probably not the issue, and likely not needed @ .85" (I just re-read your post).

Not sure what it would be... Wheel bearing maybe?

What about the needle bearing? I had my mechanic check the wheal bearings and he said they were ok.

You will get what you want
The back might be a little stiff because they are designed to handle a little more weight without my tools and stuff in the back the back in feels a little light but otherwise besides that the Four Corners set up it's great, fronts at .85.
No lean, no spacer. Leveled and rides a lot better than the 4100/4160 i think thats the number of the (yellow&blue) ones

Any lift can cause the needle bearing vibe. If the truck is an early 2nd gen, your bearing might be bad enough to vibe in 4wd. Any suspension change can bring out gremlins in these trucks.

I might just end up pulling the driveshaft out to see if the problem is still there. Then if it is, I will probably replace the needle bearing.

Thanks for all the info everyone. Replaced the 4600's with the 5100's all around and used the 1.75 setting on the front with recalled leaf springs installed in the rear. Takes bumps and potholes much better and feels much more stable in curves, inclines and acceleration.

Truck looks great! You got level achieved only with Bilsteins @ .85? You just put the stock coils back on?
