Bilstein 5100 top nut

I'm in the process of removing my oem bilsteins and installing some 5100s. Just wondering which nut to use for top of the shock shaft. The oem has a nice flange on it but the new one has the nylon insert. Both will fit so maybe it doesn't matter just want to be sure before moving on.

 

I think the 5100 uses an allen wrench.

 

USE THE NYLON NUT!!!!!!!

Speaking from experience I did not have nylon nuts on mine when I originally installed my 5100's and unfortunately had the nut rattle off and the shock came out of its mount and punched through the bed.... thread below:

Holy shit! Okay, I'm really glad I found this- I'm replacing my shocks this weekend and needed to replace the top nuts- I will definitely get the nylon one.
