Bilstein 5100 Vs King Coilovers

    There are many variables when you consider a shock's performance off-road. Weight of the front end (plate bumper?), wheel+tire weight, spring rate + preload, type of terrain, speed...

    Only potential drawback is corrosion protection. The anodized or zinc plated shock bodies aren't as robust as the painted Bilsteins or OMEs against winter salt. The OP in Orange County probably won't see much of it though.

    deck plate mod,jba cat back,bilstein 5100's,ome 883 springs, Allpro expos, allpro U-bolt flip kit, 10" Bilstien 5150 shocks, custom lower shock mounts
    Depends on the spring set up. Fwiw I might get some nitrochargers for my 883s down the road

    this thread should compare the Bilstein 9100's race series 2.65" coilovers to the king 2.5" coilover... U chose the cheapest low end shock from one company to a mid-grade shock of another. Next lets compare the Bilstein Blackhawks to the king 2.0 smooth body lol
