    May I ask what you are running now? The last couple weeks I’ve gone from settled on ome all around to ome/5100 to eibach. And really all I want is more rear capacity/rake but figure I shouldn’t mismatch.

    ADS all around with Icon RXT medium setting leaf pack. SPC UCAs.

    I would run Bilstein over the OME shocks. I think OME makes their Shock/coil setups too stiff on purpose for overlanders...just my thoughts after running it. The ADS I run now with heavier coils is way smoother than the OME setup ever was

    Thanks for your input. ADS is a higher price point than I’m in the market for but I’m glad you like your set up. Any experience with eibach pro? Even with my blitz bumper and winch, i’m pretty happy with the ride of my stock +spacers front end. Would love to smooth out washboard but enjoy my daily driver.

    Washboard you can help with deflating your tires. Making sure you get the correct coil weight matched with the type of shock is important. I made the dumb mistake of choosing a 700# 14” coil with my extended travel shocks vs getting a 650#. 700# would be just right in a stock 13” coil IMO

    So that’s the trick, right? Lot of posts about 580# ome sagging, 740# eibach holding up, but isn’t ride quality more about the right combo? How do you know what works with what? I typically air down to between 25-18 psi depending on terrain.

    @SpeySquatch
    I’ve been on too many treads lately and realize you already addressed my last questions. So you’d recommend eibach pro—their springs and shocks—over 888s+5100s? Trying to achieve 1-1/2 to 2“ lift with as good or better ride as the stock OR+spacers I’m running.

    I have the same setup and got 2” on the lowest setting. I think something is installed wrong and I’d venture to say it’s the spring perch being upside down. But that’s just my guess.

    Being spoiled by now with nice coilovers it seems a faster reacting rebound seems to ride smoother on washboards. I do this by deflating tires and clicking up the firmness a bit of the rebound. However, with regular shocks on a 3rd gen a 650-700# coil should be just right if the are stock height, depending on your trucks front weight config. The front of the 3rd gen config runs a bit heavier than the second gens...which run 600-650# coils

    This combo sags over time I had to add a a spacer to get back up. Now no issues. In hindsight I’d have gone a different route a few years ago but oh well I’m happy again.

    Yes, I believe Eibach makes a better product for these trucks. I had the 888 coils and they sucked big time. There is nothing wrong with the 5100’s, they are a decent budget shock, but it depends on what you will use them for. I personally would jump up to the 6112’s.

    Shocks don’t sag unless they have gone bad/leak. Coils sag.

    The stock TRD OR 13” coils are 700#

    Can you use the stock coil with the 6112?

    Apologies to OP Nate for hijacking his thread. Have been looking at 6112’s. Thinking I might start with aal and eibach shocks in back then upgrade the front when they are back in stock. I appreciate your advice.
