Hey guys, I have a 2007 double cab TRD Off Road that I will be installing the 5100's on. My ? is where do most of you set the front ride height to? I will be running the stock coils. Does the Tacoma ride better at stock height or does it ride better one notch up? I will also be installing them in the rear as well. Thanks!

Im sure you already know this, but the rear 5100's are not adjustable (just incase you weren't aware, not trying to insult intelligence). Also, make sure you purchase the correct rear 5100's because the shock themselves DO NOT provide lift. There are 3 (I think) different models (0-1" lift, 1-2.5", and like 2.5-3.5 or something like that). The lift sizes refer to how much lift you have on the rear (by AAL's, or new leaf packs installed). You do not want your shock acting as the "Limit strap" on your rear suspension.

(I just replaced 1 rear 5100 today after roughly 45k miles with it).

Hope that helps a little. Also, I set my front 5100's to not the lowest, but next one higher but also put Eibach coils with it. Also put an AAL and 3* shim in the back.

I purchased all four as a kit from Downsouth Motorsports. I was aware that the rears are not asjustable and the front ones came with the holding ring set in the bottom ring. These were advertised as a leveling kit. I am kind of thinking I will leave the ring set as it came from Downsouth Motorsports. Just wanted advise from members here. Thanks

With stock coils, the first notch provides 0.85" of lift, second is 1.75". If you're wanting to level out the second notch should do the trick more closely than the first. Can't go wrong either way.
