so ive had an 06 Tacoma access cab before and had Bilstein 5100s with 886x ome coils because I had a front steel bumper and winch and all that. ive since sold the Tacoma (which was one of the best trucks ive owned) A friend of mine has a 2011 Tacoma double cab. I told him go with the Bilstein 5100s but not sure which OME COILS to go with since his is double cab and will not have any bumpers added. he is wanting to achieve the highest he can up front without having to replaced upper control arms. He is wanting to go 3" lift up front but if I remember right that will need upper control arms to correct the alignment. so maybe 2.5"? plus does that year also have the taco lean?

He'll want 885's which will net him 2.5" and yes he will need the 1/4" top plate spacer to compensate for the taco lean. It's a toss up at 2.5" on whether he'll need UCA's. I put them on for piece of mind. I haven't driven a taco without UCAs and 885 coils installed so I can't compare the rides.

I remember my setup was the 5100s and 886 with taco lean spacer and at full droop it would hit the control arms. He isn't gonna fo any off roading so no issue there with full droop
