Bought a pair of 5100s for the front only. Truck is completely stock except for 265/75's
before I install them I have had some people tell me that since I am using OEM coils that it will ride rough. I want the truck to ride as smooth as possible without breaking the bank. Is it worth getting some different coils to keep the ride quality good or is the ride still just fine with the 5100s and stock coils? Thank you.

You will be fine if you are not putting weight in the front like a steel bumper, otherwise some say with weight it will tend to pitch down when you stop quickly, but I really haven’t noticed this even with my winch or our loaded bike rack attached to the front reciever hitch. Are you setting them to stock height, or a lift in the front of it a bit?

I have stock coils and set my 5100 to the third notch up, and put a single Dakar AAL in back and it rides fine on and off road.

Don’t set to 5100s to the full height if you were keeping stock coils though, it will ride rough in that position.

I'm on 5100s on the 4th. Setting, factory coils and it rides better than before. My friends on 888s in the front and our trucks ride about the same.

Avoid the highest setting and I think you'd be fine.
