Bilstein 5100's Stock Ride Height Question

    Hey guys, I've spent hours on here trying to find the answer to this question, but I figured I might as well post it. Waste less time.

    I have a 2013 Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab and I bought a set of Bilstein 5100's front and rear. My question for the front is that if I leave the shocks at 0", will the truck be way out of level between the front and rear? I see a lot of people setting their front shocks at .85" and I am wondering if this is the go to front setting for the front shocks? I'm not running any lifts, just stock TRD Sport suspension with General Grabbers 275/70R18. I plan on keeping the stock springs with the new shocks.

    Would I benefit from setting the front shocks to .85" or 0" or is it personal preference. I read a thread where someone was asking for a similar opinion and he kept his setting at 0" but his wasn't a TRD sport so don't know how much of a difference it would make.

    0 is no lift, meaning exactly where you're truck is currently sitting.

    would setting to .85 preload the springs or is that just on the OR trucks?

    It will preload the springs, but sport springs are supposed to be better suited for it. At the .85 setting you're not going to notice much more stiffness and your alignment will still be able to be set perfectly.

    I just put 5100’s on my 2015 OR. I set the fronts up to .85. Rode the same as stock hight. Get it aligned after

    I haven't installed the 5100's (yet) in my 2014 but I'm thinking they need to be up a notch. The front springs seem to have settled a bit, especially the driver side. I put a spacer in that side a year ago to square things up - which worked OK - but when I look at it, it doesn't seem to be as high as the photo of E4x4's outfit.
