Well it isn't hard to believe unless you choose to.

There are hundreds of alignment sheets on this forum showing the limitations of stock UCAs.

How do you pretend that doesn't exist.

Actually someone else can have that discussion, in another thread maybe.

I just remembered you told Sandy two options to do that are both completely ass backwards from someone who knows what they're talking about.

Yeah I might take my chances too
I'm at 2 inches of lift on setting zero of my 5100's

I'll be going a notch up this next weekend.

Honestly if you have to ask this question its obvious to me you don't understand what's going on with the suspension. Again you can only make so much adjustment at the lower arms to correct alignment following a lift. Having UCAs with correction built in will allow for proper adjustment.

Sure you can max out the lower bolts to get what some alignment tech might call acceptable based on their limited knowledge, but in the end your tires and the way your truck tracks will tell a different story.

I ask this question to see what your answer will be, I have plenty knowledge on suspension modification. My English would limit me with expressing my self in correct terms. Anyways TW is great place for information and I do find lots of in here. What I can see from other people's experience is that stock UCAs will be fine for up to 2.5 lift and more than that will run at caster problem during alignment, but which will not effect your ride quality noticeably if set at maximum alloved at 3" lift. Camber and toe will eat your rubber and that can be corrected on stock ucas with 3". I'm going for 2.75" witch I hope will put me with factory specs

I posted the below spec sheet on pg. 2 of this thread. States 2012-15, but it's for my 2016. My front lift is at 1.75. I will need UCAs as my camber is tweaked as far as it can go and I'm still at a positive setting. I'm out of range for both Camber and Caster. You can see it visually. I have no idea how 2.5-3" lifts are getting away without needing UCAs.

Yours is the only one I found for 2016. There is another member here that posted his alignment sheet with toytec coil, preload spacer and top spacer around 3" lift and was able to get within spes. Can't find that tread:mad:

    The problem is Caster.

Ideal specs for a 2"-3" lifted Tacoma are 0 Camber, 0 Toe, and 2.5+ Caster. You cannot achieve that with stock UCAs. Aftermarket UCAs (most) correct this by essentially moving the knuckle/UCA mounting point toward the cab, allowing for more Caster without compromising Camber.

The one that dean posted caster specified range is 3.6 -5.1 he set at 2.5 out of spec, they did use 2015 specs for 2016 alignment.
The one I posted is caster range 1.2 - 2.7 and it 1.8 within the spec. Question is did they use wrong spec one othe alignments or spec range have changed on 2016
