Has anyone removed the plastic covers from the rear struts?

That's what I want my rig to look like. So, do the Bilsteins on the rear at .85 give some lift?
A local outfit quoted me $299.00 to do a 3/2 spacer deal. But maybe the Bilsteins would be a better route. You done good on that!

Rides better than stock. Firmer. More controlled. Stock suspension is too soft IMO.

    .85 is a big improvement.

1.75-2.5 are the diminishing returns settings. .85 is great.

Just tossed on 5100s, 885s, LR UCAs and Superbumps. Might throw the sway bar back on, I forgot how much body roll there is with it off, and I don't have the suspension/travel to try to roll around without one (yet :spy: ). Truck is a bit higher up front, already had a wheelers 3 leaf in the back, with no overload. Thinking if I toss the overload back in it will level me out and once the front settles a bit I'll be a hair higher in the back as I like.

Mind you, With an All Pro Skid and supercharger on the front, I'm easily heavier than any stock third gen out there, and while I didn't take any hard measurements, my eyeball tape measure is saying at least 2" lift, if not 3".

My prerunner did :). My 4x4 might have, but I bet it settles to 2-2.5 in a day or two

It's a 2" coil on a stock truck, so unless you preloaded the 5100s.

Nope, no preload. And I definitely got close to 3" on my prerunner, had measurements back in the day on it.

And? Same suspension, roughly the same weight and same lift gained.

The ride was not affected. I honestly cannot tell the difference between the .85 lift and stock as far as ride comfort. I was worried the ride would be harsh, firm, uncomfortable but no, it feels just like stock.
