I’ve read a lot of threads and your posts
I don’t plan on off roading. I don’t even want a big lift. Just looking to make the truck a little bigger and beefier later on with new wheels and tires and without add unnecessary parts. Simple and Clean
Looking to see what set up is best for that. 5100 with OME / Dobinsons / eibachs

Pick your number and go for it. Tires is a different topic. Approach with a common sense.

YES! Keep your stock parts! Throw them in your attic or something just in case. My steering rack went (driver side leaked fluid) at 25k with a 5100 1.5 inch lift, a service advisor told me they 100% wouldn’t warranty it. Spent a day putting all my stock parts back on, took it to a different dealer and they warrantied what would have been a 1000 dollar job

    OEM?

The real answer is, you do NOT need to replace the rear shocks right away, but you will wear them out prematurely as they are not thick enough to handle dirt trails. They are made for the street driving. Your rear end will bounce around a lot more, and they will give out.

And the only reason to replace the front coils would be if you have extra weight in the front, like a steel bumper & winch, to keep it from sagging. I stuck with my OEM coils as per Bilstein's recommendations and have a fantastic ride, and more importantly, I eliminated the front brake dive.

Good luck in your decision Riley

Bilsteins will not give you driveline vibrations, lif or no lift, but it will give you much more confidence having fun in the trails, and still give you great street performance.

    Darn-it!

There's a reason why I'm still thinking about these economical shocks!
