CORRECTION!!! 5125’s NOT 5112’s. I’m sorry about my mixup. There basically no instructions to assemble . Do I just copy the stock assembly?

here is what comes with the shock

yeah just copy the stock assembly. Do note you need to shave down the lower bushing sleeve and cut the rubber bushing to match so that it will fit in the shock mount on the axle.

    Yes.

(from bottom to top) Washer > bushing > truck mount > bushing > washer > nut

Those look like RXT's. For those, the side with the 2 shackles pointing up should be forward.

Looking for advice on how to get the top of the shock
Ok question. Using the supplied washers and bushings there is no room left for a bolt on top…(see pic) what am I doing wrong? There are two bushing the exact same size.

That's pretty common for the threads to be short. Just need to grab a few and you can start cranking down. Make sure the little raised circular part in the center of the bushings is properly seated inside the little wider hole in the body mount if it allows for it (I don't recall if my third gen needed this but other vehicles I've had needed this).

This thread shows how they should be positioned: Rear Bilstein 5125 Shocks - extended length - SOLD | Tacoma World

Spin the bushings around so the pointed end fits the cups of the mating surfaces.

So to confirm: you’re stating that one needs to cut the bushings down that fit on the top shaft? For example:cutting where the yellow line is-ish?

No no. What you quoted was talking about the axle side not frame side.

To get the top side to fit, flip the bushing on the stem so that it follows the contour of the cup in the frame.

I saw you start this thread earlier but couldn't get a picture till I got home. Hope it helps.
Edit: I guess I'm a bit late. Sorry about that.

Would love to know the exact set of upgrades you are doing to front and rear and see before and after pics with measurements. In the next 4 weeks I'm upgrading to 6112/5160 and the Icon RXTs. Still debating on different settings on the 6112s and what option to use on the RXTs.

The new 6112s have I think eleven settings. I went with 7 on the passenger side and 9 on the drivers to compensate for the lean. I've got an icon three leaf ad a leaf for the rear. Forgot to measure. Also, no over load.
