I purchased the Bilstein kit through @HeadStrong Off-Road and could not be happier with the service I received and the overall transaction. I would highly recommend them.

I'm in love with this setup. Much improved over stock. At least 90% of my driving is on road (my daily driver) and I enjoy going in to some state forests (minimal maintenance roads/forest service roads) for some camping. This seems to be the ideal setup for me.

Did mine last year. It was a huge difference compared to my stock setup but I really like them. I kept in the factory overload spring to maintain the front rake but I also knew I'd lose a little bit of that lift after loading up the back with a camper shell and other things like a drawer system and gear.

Been running this set up for a few years now and it's pretty good in my opinion.

Have 38K on my Bilstein package and it still performs excellent for my use. Zero complaints and wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again.

I’ve had my 6112/5160 set up with Deaver stage one and SPC UCAs for about 3000 miles and it changes the truck in such a positive way. Adding a wider wheel and tire set up with better offset makes the truck ride much more controlled.

I looked at other set ups, but felt most comfortable running something that was just out there all over the place that everyone else was running, and had great success with, didn’t feel like learning, something new to achieve the same goal, Billy’s worked

So finally got my lift installed after having it collect dust all winter. Set them at 11/9 with 650# springs and SPC UCA’s up front. Icon stage 2 in the back. Had them on for a couple weeks now and overall I am very happy. I was a little tentative about going with the top notch but I think the ride is great! Feels more refined and definitely more planted on the highway. I’ve logged a few quick easy off road miles and felt nice out there as well. Definitely firmer but not jarring or anything at low speed.

Here are my semi exact before and after measurements from hub center to fender after a couple weeks of driving/settle.

    Before After

    DF 20in 23in

    DR 20.75in 23.5in

    PF 20.5in 23in

    PR 21.5in 23.5in

I’m yet to install my plate bumper but I imagine it’ll drop the front down a bit and hopefully make the ride even nicer.

I forgot to take a before pick but here’s an after.

6112's set to 1.1" lift. (leveling height)
    5160's with stock leaves.
    265/70R17 Falken Wildpeaks Load E

The rear looks lower because it has a few hundred pounds of camping gear in the bed. When empty it's quite level. Bilsteins did great on a 6,000mi road trip to Cali and back. In everyday driving the difference versus stock is subtle and the Load(E) tires are more noticeable. They really shine on the worn-out 2 lane blacktop in the desert, the forest roads, and off-road trails. Very happy with the upgrade.

Would like to hear owners vibration issues or not and what was done to correct with the bilstein setups.

Almost 8 years and about 90k on my 6112/5160 setup and notice it's starting to get tired. Highway bridge joists are starting to unsettle truck almost like it was when stock. Have been happy with setup, trying to decide if do the same again, switch to 8000 series or go for kings. Feel bad putting anything too nice on there as it will get beat and rusted quickly, which means likely do the same combo again

What kind of driving do you do? For most driving conditions the Bilsteins will treat you a little better. Unless you tell me that you really like to go fast offroad you're better sticking with Bilstein or something else digressive.

On a positive note the new Bilsteins (both 6112/5160 and 8112/8100) have new finishes and are more resistant to corrosion. Anything you'd buy new today will be better than what you have already. Happy to help get you set back up over here at Hotshot Offroad as well .

For driving I'm 99% on some sort of road. In new england we have a lot of very bad roads, I dont mean the streets most drive on but when I go fishing and camping few times a week in the summer I'm often on dirt roads for 10miles +/- usually speeds under 30mph which means kings or even the 8112 would likely be overkill but follow my thinking for a moment

heres my basic understanding of suspension: shock needs to control the force of the spring. The faster you go the more force is applied. The stock shocks were garbage, especially the rear. Over a bump the rear end would jump around in a sketchy way because the shock couldnt effectively control the spring movement. Wouldnt the kings ability to handle higher speeds more effectively mean it's a better shock absorber all around? The kings and 8112 are fairly closely priced and theres much more info on the kings but bilstein has always treated me right. Decisions decisions
