    Looks good!

How much lift did you end up with in the front set at 10/8?

I've just ordered a set of 6112's. Planning to set them to 10/8 and add a 1/4" spacer. Hoping it'll net me somewhere between 2 - 2.5" up front.

Pairing them with 5100's, Headstrong AAL and a 1/2" shim in the back in hopes of getting 2" of lift in the rear.

I run 265/75/16's in the winter, and 255/85/16's in the summer.

I have sliders and a go fast camper but no extra weight up front. As I understand it there is a heavy load version of the 6112 with a different spring but I don’t have experience with it.

How do you like the Kings vs the 6112s? I have watched your build over the years. You have really taken it to another level recently. Great looking truck.

    Appreciate ya!
You're right on the cusp, but I would probably recommend stepping up to the 650 spring if you decided to go with 6112s.

FYI when I installed my bumper and winch with 650 springs I sagged 1/2”. With sliders and skids all steel 650lb springs were good. So I see 700lb will be good. IMO. Since moved on with suspension but just a thought to leave you with

sorry for the delay... After 2 years with sliders and the leer shell it settled to about 1.25" up front. Im pretty happy with this set up even with stock tires for the trails I do for capability and ride quality on rodes.

On the fence currently for my first set of new tires with the 2 sizes you mentioned. Is there a noticeable difference between the 2 that you can tell with mpg at stock height with em?

I love the look of the 255's. Looks like they belong on the truck. They're definitely heavier, and I'd say they're a bit harder on fuel, but not significantly enough to make me want to run the 265/75's year round.

How do the 6112/5160 compare to Bilstein 5100? I'm leaning towards the 6112/5160, but felt the 5100's were a bit harsh on my 4th gen 4runner, so I'm a bit worried. Also does anyone know how they compare to the Eibach Pro 2.5" Stage 2 and Stage 2R, as well as the Fox Performance 2.0s?

    I copied a response, maybe this’ll help,
A TW vendor and mod, @memario1214 says All 3 are quality setups. Here's been my experience with them all having sold them all and been in vehicles with them all on many, many different occasions.

Bilstein 6112/5160 - I currently hold this setup as the best setup for the money in most cases. You get a solid amount of oil capacity as @wi_taco alluded to, a shock that doesn't ask for a rebuild after 40k, and a very solid all-aroundride quality.

Eibach 2R - Also an excellent setup. The ride profile is very similar to Bilstein, but the Eibachs ride a little softer in my experience. The downsides to them are that they are a smaller body up front so they are going to be more susceptible to shock fade when pushed. They also have shock bodies that I have found to be more susceptible to the elements. Our salt belt folks have been finding that the body finishes are tired after a couple of winter cycles. That said, we've never had one come back for breakage or seals failing so we're good there! Just a visual "note"

Fox 2.0 - We pretty much don't recommend these for daily drivers anymore... unfortunately. IMO you're largely paying for the name with the 2.0. For daily driven use they tend to ride quite firm (contrary to what their progressive valving nature would lead you to believe). Then, to top it off when you really push them they don't have the oil capacity to keep up. :notsure: If you're going to run Fox my two cents is to push to something like the performance elite series where you'll get to truly feel the Fox benefits.

We've got everything that you've been eyeing here on the shelves at Hotshot Offroad. If you have more questions, or just want to chatthrough build ideas shoot me a pm or give us a buzz! 406-936-0206

I'm by no means an expert, and not 100% sure, but as I understand it, the major difference between the 5100 and 5160 is the remote reservoir. The 5160 will fade less, and stay cooler on terrain where the shocks are being worked more (off road).

My truck is 99% pavement/highway, so I went with 5100s in the back (6112 up front), as I didn't see the need for the 5160s based on my usage. Mine aren't being installed until next month, so can't comment on ride quality yet.

Going from the 6112s to Kings - do you still feel the 6112s were solid for the money? or are the Kings so much better, you wish you just would have saved the money on the first step and jumped straight to the kings?

Been riding the 6112s for 85K miles and know I am probably coming up on time for replacement.
