Stock with a camper shell for now.
I’m curious what was the cost of this whole set up? I’m thinking of going this exact route.

Oh yeah we had a solid pile that we were digging out of! I had to go dark for a couple of days so that we could get caught up on shock builds! I think we pretty much have all of them out now though, yours included.
Any pics of the side profile of the truck now that things have settled in a touch?
Shoot me a message and we can figure something out. I'll need to know where you live as well.

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.
I see that and appreciate it. Just got the rear shocks today. Hoping I can get to it next month, but getting everything sooner does feel pretty good! lol

Honestly I don't remember, I got everything during Hotshots 4th of July sale. Under $3k for everything, including shipping. That includes the leaf springs, assembled shocks, Duro Bumps, and the flip kit.
I compared cost locally and across the Internet, Hotshot was the best deal overall for a single source provider.

Looks great! Do you have the extended length spec on that 6112? It appears the same length as that stock OR coilover.

I do not have the specs on it. @memario1214 might be able to help you with those specs.

There is no "extended" spec 6112. That said, piston travel numbers between a 4600 and 6112 are greater leading to .3" greater extended length, and .8" less collapsed length. Over an inch more available stroke which translates to more than that at the wheel level. I don't know the OE shock travel values, but I assume they have to be very close to the 4600.

Here we go, finally got a around to getting a current side pic for reference.
Slightly raked as I prefer it.
Currently have 265/70/17 on it, will probably go to 255/80/17 for the next set.

Thanks memario1214. Wow, I used to think of 6112 as the 60mm version of 5100s. Apparently, they are different builds in more ways. Here is my on the floor pic from Feb. with 5100 and stock OffRoad coilivers.

My apologies if this has already been answered but how do these ride compared to the 5100s?My 5100s have about 70k km on them and I find them a little rough over less than perfect pavement but overall they’re pretty comfy but they’re probably getting close to needing replacement.

I had 5100's all around on my previous truck, the 6112/5160 that I installed on my new truck I find to be significantly better.
I would try to find someone in your area with this setup so you can compare and decide whether it is worth the difference in cost to you.
Good luck with whichever you choose.

Just saw this thread! My 6112/5160 setup was installed in Sept of ‘23. Did the ECG Bushing as a preventative measure while installing the 6112’s. Got ~12k miles on it since then with zero issues.

Also has the ICON AAL with Timbren bump stops and U-bolt flip kit in the rear.

Opted for the 17” gun metal gray 4Runner SEMA wheels with LT255/75R17 KO2’s

LOL! I’m damned sure not a photographer, that’s for sure. That pic was totally accidental, as I was coming out of the woods at a trailhead to a mild metro park hiking path…just kind of looked cool in the early evening so I snapped it with the phone and went on. I thought it was decent enough to use as an avatar here. :D

Recently installed 6112/5160 at 1.4" (9/7) setting. 1" rear block.

The front settled to 1.25" after a few days, resulting in almost factory rake.

This enhancement is better than I expected. Stiffer bit the dampening is amazing, especially on rough gravel roads.

Needle bearing became an issue immediately after install, BUT after the strut settled to 1.25" it only vibrates the first 10 min when the truck is still cold. No vibration after that. Same thing happened with my 2011 taco after a 3" lift.

QUESTION: I feel like my truck doesn't coast as well and I'm wondering if the added pull on the rear brake lines from the 1" block might the culprit. They are fairly tight. PXL_20250316_133238206.jpg

No they removed it. After a couple years it's definitely sagging a bit. In hindsight I should have left it in, or just gone with the full RXT leaf pack.
