    Hey there!
I've had some Bilstein 6112s on my taco for just over 3 years. Today I heard a strange noise while braking, which is hard to describe but it's like a squishy sliding sound. Doesn't sound good lol. I looked at the shock and noticed the cap has come off. Any ideas? I don't know much about suspension, so feel free to just say "take it to a shop" if you think that's the right approach!
    Cheers!

Top of shock poped off, at the weld seam.
Toast. No oil or pressure. Pogo stick.
Bump stops need to be thicker?

Dang I thought it might just be the "dust cap" that I've seen others refer to. Will get it into the shop then. Would you recommend just replacing the one, or should I do the pair while I'm at it?

Should generally replace shocks in pairs when you can afford to.

If its just a dust cap then the shocks are probably fine.
Looked like a weld seam to me but i have been wrong before. :)

I have not looked a the 6112 personally.
    Shop or more TW help.
