Anybody know if I can fit 6112 coils on Fox 2.5s? Was thinking about buying 14" eibachs and powder coating them black. But if the 6112s will fit on them it saves me the hassle of powder coating them. Thanks.

Should fit if they’re a 3” diameter coil. I know they both have flat seats so my gut says yes.

Buy the correct 14" Eibach coils. The 6112 coils won't work. Source: I have Fox 2.5's installed on the truck and a set of 6112's laying on my garage floor.

Curious: how tall are the 6112 coils? I’ve actually wondered this as well as backwards compatibility. I have a few sets of coils (king, fox and Eibach) and wondered if they’d fit on 6112s.

I believe they are still a 14" long spring and probably 600-650lbs (but I can't confirm which). Inner and overall diameter looks smaller. Searching online most sites say the Bilstein coils are only compatible with the 6100/8100 shocks which have like a 2.2-2.3" body, slightly smaller than the bigger 2.5's on the market. Close but no cigar. As for fitting the bigger 2.5 compatible springs on a Bilstein 6100 series shock, I'd say it won't work for two reasons: first, they use a stock upper spring mount and the 2.5 springs would be too large; second the lower spring landing also would be too small for the larger diameter spring to mount properly and securely.

Don't take any of that for cold hard facts, just what I can tell based on looking at them and having had my hands on both.

Completely forgot about the top spring mount. That negates any crossover-and actually answers OPs question. Thanks!
