I am. They are off set one notch. I dont notice any difference on the road but.. I am having a hard time with my alignment. Could be a one off but I am liking the ride so much. I think later when I lift I will be concerned with not running a spacer but I am dead level with out one.

Hey chube steps and bull bars... ;)

Here's some info on spring preloading to ride height relationships.

My wheel is off. I have taken it in a few times I just cant get it at 0 degrees. I think my springs are settling and its throwing my wheel off a bit. I am gonna wait for a little while and take it back.

Im stoked though. I just ordered a bunch of ish for the truck and I am gonna get an AAL so I will prob just adjust them to give myself a 1" lift and so theres really no point to fuss over it.

Dude your alignment guy doesn't know how to align your truck if the wheel is off. Does it drive straight? Differences in caster affect pull. Does the truck pull left or right or is the wheel just clocked off center?

I just did my alignment last night at work after putting 7500 miles on my truck and the front 2nd gen 6112 springs are fully settled in. My camber and toe were the only things that went off after my initial alignment from the installation. My STRG wheel is perfectly clocked and no pull on flat roads. I have the driver side 1/4" spacer on the top hat and never had an issue with anything being off zero. I only adjusted toe last night, but heading out to El Paso mountains and Trona this weekend, so some stuff will likely get knocked off again. Will fix my camber afterwards.

Avi, take it to another guy...

This is what I started with after 7000+ miles on the bilstein..

As it sits, but will redo it after this weekend.

The wheel was straight for like 2 days. then it shifted a little to the right. Im not stressing it man. the tracking isnt off that bad and I plan to lift it in the coming weeks so I will have to have it done again anyway.

Preloading a linear rate spring does not change the spring rate, harshness or ride, only ride height is affected. Preloading a progressive rate spring does.

I was all zeroed out on camber and toe and caster was @2.3 both sides when I first aligned it.

That setting you're seeing is all worn in with some off road driving. Stuff settles in. You'll have to redo it again regardless.

I only set my toe last night because I had weird heel toe wear, so I decided to put it on the rack. Didn't have my torque wrench to reset my LCA eccentrics, so I didn't touch caster/ camber. The toe correction will help with tire wear for a few days till next week.

Ah now that makes sense....the coils being used on 6112s are linear. So maxing out settings on these only worsens the ride due to limiting up or down travel?

Yes, progressively wound coils have a tighter spaced coil stack on one end where most of the initial compression starts (initially softer), then progressively stiffer, and linear coils are more evenly spaced throughout and the rate doesn't change as much.

Forgot to add, the springs don't limit the travel. The bumpstops (upward motion) and whatever is limiting droop (downward) will. It might be straps, shocks (bad), or something else on the chassis that limits downtravel on the suspension.

The factory TRD pro suspension on the 15 and 17 model both have a spring offset. So if TRD, Bilstein, and Fox all believe in the offset with no adverse issues so should we.

I've talked to Marie at headstrong about pairing these with a few different options. A being can I leave the stock shock rear or do I need to up grade all at the same time. B being can I pair with 5100's. And C pair with the 5160's (which seems like what most people do). The answer was yes to all. You can run any of these setups. The 5160's are the best shock because they have more travel and a reseviour, but the 5100 are also a good option. You can keep the stock shocks on the back as well if you're impatient like me and what to get the front done while you save up for the rear shocks.
