    Howdy folks,
So story is this. During a bout of 3am online shopping while rocking a grumpy baby, I bought some used bilstein 6112 shocks. Just shocks which was fine because I was planning to get some heftier springs for them.

They came in and I took a quick look at them and didn't see any red flags. I then proceeded to stash them in the garage until I had time to swap them out.

Got the B12 bilstein springs in and once I had some time I pulled out the struts and had a closer look. That was when I realized I had bought them for the wrong vehicle.

The return to seller ship has sailed so I am stuck with springs and no shocks. I've done what I can with google but haven't had any luck finding a place that sells just the shock.

Does anyone out there know of a place that I can source a set? Other than getting lucky with ebay or craigslist.

    Thanks

    For a 2013 TRD Sport.

What vehicle is it for? 3rd gen, 4runner and FJ 6112's will bolt in. The difference is going to be the clip location on the housing for the height setting. I believe the b12 spring is the same part number across all platforms as well.

The only way to get a new shock is through Bilstein to my knowledge. But I don't know if they sell them or if it's only based on exchanges.

I ran into this, I have a set of 6112s from a 5th gen 4Runner and the length is correct, but the bottom mount does not fit into the Taco LCA. Fortunately I can use them on my FJ Cruiser.

If I'm honest I dont know, tracking down the part number for just the shock has been problematic, but the lower attachment point for the shock that I bought is 1/2" too wide to fit in my Tacos bracket.

I got a machinist offering to "modify" it to fit but I'm not comfortable with that.

Yeah the springs shouldn't be a problem I can just swap them onto the right shocks when I get them.

A buddy that used to work for O'Reilly is trying to track down a part number. Maybe I will need to be giving Bilstein a shout.

I'm not sure what they do fit. I can post the part number later. They are sitting under my desk at work.

Thanks for the leg work LMNT, but I am actually trying to get just the shock part of the kit. Not the whole assembly. I may have to bite the bullet and do that, but would like to avoid it seeing as I already have the B12 bigger springs.
