    Hello,
I'm coming due for a front suspension update. I've been running Elka 2.5s with a ~3" lift up front and Ironman leaf springs and FCP rears for my heavvvvy 3rd Gen Tacoma. Sway bar is off.

I've had the Ironman FCPs on up front but they felt harsher than the Elkas.

Not sure exactly how much wt but the truck likely sits around 6500+ lbs when geared up:
--Front and rear steel bumpers with tire swing and bull bars.
--Steel skid plates and rock sliders
--RSI Smartcap and an iKamper tent (tent is on 8 mos out of the year)
--13 gal water tank in bed
--Plywood drawer system and storage, fridge and other camp gear in the bed.
    --Roof rack

It's a pig. The leaf springs can hold the rear well. But I'm thinking of changing my shocks (I'm at almost 90K miles on the truck)

Can I get away with 6112 set on the highest setting with this weight? I read that you shouldn't put 700# springs on the 6112s.

Should I opt for OME MT64 and get appropriate springs or 8112 with 650 or 700# springs? I'm leery of Kings, Icons and other shocks that require rebuild every now and then.

Most of my off-road driving is mountain roads, rutted and washboard fire roads, and desert and beach cruising...
