    TW,

I am considering putting on Bilstein 6112 up front. I plan on adding a bumper and winch later and I cannot find the spring pound rate for them. I am concerned that the added weight will be to much for them. Can I get your thoughts?

From what I looked up earlier they were 600 lb.

600 won’t be enough OP. might want to look at icon/fox/king with 700lb springs for a plate bumper with a winch.

Edit: or an OME lift with 886’s

Thanks for the input guys. I was hoping they would have higher than 600 pound springs but oh well!

The 6112s are only sold together with 600lb coils but you can still get 650 or 700lb coils... check Wheelers etc

Adding about 100# to front, running Bilstiens 5100, want to up grade coils. What is most comparable and capable of carrying the load comfortably. Still not clear after reading above posts.....any help out there? Thanks

They should be fine on the 6/5 setting. Mine gave me a little over over 2inches and are still too stiff with about 50 pounds up front

Thanks, gonna get a pair of coils soon but I am debating weather to get a Decked Drawer systems first. Either way coils will be on soon to support the Southern Style Slim Line winch bumper I've been looking at. Anyone with advice on that setup?

Go 700lb springs. I have them with my winch and bumper. The stock TRD OR coils are 700lb because the 3rd gen front end weighs 300lbs more than the 2nd gen

Springs don’t make a stiff ride they just support weight. Valving in shocks makes the ride stiff or soft.

I just installed them at 5/5 with a spacer on the driver side. Stock tires still but seems to ride nice so far. I have a Limited which uses the some struts as the sport I believe which is stiffer than the Offroad.

So are the 6112 springs lighter than the factory springs? Sport or OR?

Wow. Did not know that your stockers are 700lbs. Learn something new everyday.

Sorry to resurrect this bad boy, but can you throw the stock spring on the 6112? I don't know much about suspension but the 6112 seems like a great value except for the 600# springs.

No. The shock diameter is too large.

However, you can run 6112s with these: Which are 650lb springs.

Wheelers also has 700# springs too, but you'd have to confirm they're not too long for the 6112. Im running the 600# 6112s, but I dont have any weight added up front. Theyre great, so if you dont have any weight up there, dont hesitate because theyre 600# and not 690# like stock. I whole heartedly recommend them.

Understood - thanks for the response. I'm plan to get a bumper+winch in the future and from what I've read I'll need to go 650/700#. Wonder if I should just roll Fox's.

Coilovers would allow you to fine tune the height. Might be worth it for you.
