Not sure if this is the correct forum but figured I’d post it cause I found it interesting and a little worrisome.

I ordered a 6112/5160 combo from shock surplus because they were in stock when I called and I had been looking to get them. Since I was on the phone with them I was able to get 650# coils and they said they would mount them for me.

Well the 650# coils wound up showing up at my house and I called them to see what the deal was. Found out they screwed up and sent the coils to me so I’m sending them back. They sent over a shipping label and all. Pretty good customer service correcting a mistake.

I also found out that the 6112s, while in stock, have had a machining issue. The shock body isn’t properly sized and the circlips don’t fit properly. They’ve even had one of their techs get injured after mounting springs and having the circlip let go. They said the problems been fixed by bilstein and they’re waiting on a new batch of 6112s to get sent it.
