Rebuuld for the rears involves removal, down time on truck, often shipping, add it up and its the same price as buying new. But to each his own.

No I get it unless you have the tools and the know how at home to do it, it doesn't really make sense on a DD or street driven vehicle unless it's a secondary vehicle or you buy spares to swap to while the others are being rebuilt. I get your point and it's a very good one.

I think a bunch of folks bought BP's cause they were the new shiny thing. My only complaint after a year with them is the adjusters. Other than that the ride is fantastic.

I think it's good to have more competition in the market place. I like Bilstein. It seems they have different part numbers for driver and pass side. They must have tuned one side differently.

Nah.. You can drive around without rear shocks :) I did it for a couple weeks a few years ago. I couldn't hardly tell they were missing. lol

Bilstein's have treated my truck pretty well (can't complain) over the years. Unfortunately, I have already purchased my next shock replacements, but at the time I was hoping these would come to market. Too bad they were too slow :/

Wonder why they didn't make the shock body threaded for ride height adjustment?

Never mind. After looking closer you adjust them at the bottom.

I have had two '92 VW JETTA GTX ... one still sits in my garage ... 2.0L 16V Bosch Motronic, factory recaro seats and BBS wheels. I had an H&R cup kit on the last one, sway bars, built engine, intake, exhaust, momo steering wheel. What an outstanding, seat-of-your-pants driving experience. Nothing like carving up turnpikes heel-and-toe shifting with the rev-happy 16V wailing away.

    Awesome.

What trouble do you have with the adjusters?

One of the rings on the drivers rear had some road grit or something stuck in it. I bent one of the spanners trying to adjust it. ARB sent me a new wrench and suggested running a hose over it and adjust. Rinse and repeat. It appears to have worked.

But it's wet there. He does wheel the truck quite a bit. Just something to keep an eye out for.
