Ordering some 8112s and debating spring rate, thought I’d see what everyone’s experiences have been here. Leaning toward 650lbs FYI: I currently have Icon 2.5 CDCV with standard spring and it feels just right, but I’m not sure what lbs the standard icon spring is, after doing a quick search. Truck isn’t too heavy, but not stock either.
    Stats:
    - 2012 access cab
    - secondary 65amp hr agm in engine bay.
    - steel sliders
    - pro eagle in bed
    - arb twin in bed.
    - steel rear bumper
    - stock front bumper no winch
    - occasionally when camping an additional 200lbs in bed.

    any experiences appreciated. Thanks!

I have not rode in or installed an 8112 before. But I have installed Hundreds of 6112's in various Toyota's with 600 / 650/ and 700 and I would go with a 600LB for yours because you don't have any over the front extra weight. Keep track of your down travel in the shock so that you have 2-3" of down travel after a lift.

Thanks for the input! I consulted with wheel every weekend. They were incredibly helpful, and came to the same conclusion as you, 600lbs. If anyone wants to support the little guys, I can’t say enough good things about them. Revalving them for my application free of charge too.
