No, he is just saying that putting the perch on more than 2nd or 3rd clip... this happens. It's over extended the shock on down travel. The front bilstein shocks do not offer more than 2 inches of lift... if you go to the to clip... what he posted can happen. Also happens with pucks in front. The 4600 shaft has been known to bend.

Maybe it’s just how they sit or some trick on the eyes but to me a lot of Tacoma’s look low in the back mine included

So today I went to have them flip the spring perch. Good news, the truck is almost perfectly level now.
But as you can see by the 2nd picture, they put a used blue boot from a Bilstein 4600.
I know for a fact that the package came with two brand new black boots. Now I have to worry about whether or not he rigged the shock to make it fit and whether or not it's safe. Would it be worth it to spend the money for two new front shocks and have them installed by a professional.

Are these springs good for the 5100s or is there a better option?

That blue sleeve is not the same as the black accordion style that came with the 5100 so dirt/mud now can get up in there.
A warranty claim requires the original shock and hardware for exchange (just did my rears so know).
What is wrong with that shop.
As for the perch position higher than the 3rd position will make your alignment off and will require upper control arms to fix - or drop the perch down.
Lots of posts on 5100s and settings etc.
Find a new shop like 4WheelParts which knows how to do these correctly and quickly.
    Good luck.
