So i have these Bilstein Coilover shocks. With the black shock boots.
I just noticed my driver side is all messed up.

The rubber shock boots has those ribbed like design.
And each of those ribbed lines on the boot, is dented inward.
Making it look like sh!t, i tried to push them back outward but it just don't seem like it is working.....

Although it probably wouldn't affect performance wise, but i am OCD with everything the way it looks.

So does anyone know how to make them pop back outward lol?

But anyways i got it fixed....
The damn boot's bottom is connected to anything or zip tied around the strut.... so i lifted it up in between the spaces of the spring and ultimately pop it back out with my fingers.

U mean take the whole thing off the truck? Just so i can remove the boot and pop it back out?

Problem is, i can barely fit my fingers in between the springs, so i don't think i can take off the boot with the springs on.... and i don't have the tools / knowledge to remove the springs.

It is, but it also traps dirt, dust, condensation, debris, etc in.

From that picture you linked can you even see the boots? I can hardly see them behind the spring. I don't think it would bother me and I'm a perfectionist.

autopart stores like PepBoys usually carry just the boot for offroad shocks and stabilizer shocks. Also oline stores like JEGS and Summit Racing. The trick will be how to take yours out and put the new ones in without having to get an aligment.

dude, its a fucking shock boot for crying out loud. If its cold outside, heat them up with a heat gun until they become pliant and pop the ribs back out. Or turn them around so the dented part faces in. NBD yo!
