im looking to upgrade to a set of bilstein 5100's set at 2.5". ive been reading some stuff on them and some guys are complaining about leaking cv boots or replacing the axles. do i need to worry about any of that? my truck is 2wd so all those axles do are spin they dont supply any power and ive heard you only need the diff drop if youre over 3 inches.

You do not have front axles if you're only 2 wheel drive. So, in kind, you do not have CV boots either. But you may want to consider the diff drop. But I would like some pictures of the progress.

Just checking to see if you're paying attention.

Then again.... why all the questions if you know you only have 2 wheel drive?

All the things you were asking do not pertain to your application.
