I did a search, but cannot really find the answer to the install time on this lift. My local dealership is trying to charge $800 just to install, and another $750 for the kit. That sounds like they are even using any lube at that price! What do you guys think? The only reason I wanted them to install the lift in the first place is so they couldn't come back and say the lift caused any drive train issues, and void my warranty.

$750 for the install.... you need the lube for your wallet bro.
That's a $200-250 job and then you add on an alignment, so $300 should get you out the door. The $800 price is OK for the 5100s with springs.

You can do better @HeadStrong Off-Road - also there's an upgraded Billstein kit made for the Gen3, but more money.

The 5100 is a good setup and what I run.. I have Icon AALs in the rear and EMU 885 springs in front with 5100s set to ZERO. Very happy.

Do some more research. Keep the lift close to 2" max and you won't have issues.

Actually the lift is $728 and they wanted $800 for the friggin install. Has anyone had any issues with dealerships not honoring drive train warranties when they don't install the lift? that's the ONLY reason I wanted them to install it.

Your asking the dealer to perform labor, of course it is going to be more expensive. It sounds like you want to rest easy after the install, not wanting the lift to be blamed for any future problems. That is going to cost you $800 dude. Is piece of mind is worth the extra couple hundred?

For me, no. I would have them assembled and install them myself.

Yeah I do want the peace of mind, but damn. The dealership actually sells the lift trdparts4u and have a descent price on the lift, but install price is ridiculous.

They dont sell the lift expensive on purpose. They make the money in labor. And raise that price knowing you want the dealer install. It is ridiculous.
