Bilstein on all trd's?

I bought my 04 taco not too long ago and was looking at the front suspension because I am thinking about getting bilstein 5100's to raise the front a little and noticed that I have bilstein shocks on already. The question I have is do all of the TRD's come with bilsteins on did someone add these on. p/n 48510-ad010.

 

I'm pretty sure all XCab TRDs came with Bilstein suspension. I think some models (DC) came with other brands...could be wrong.

The Bilsteins from the factory ARE NOT 5100s though. If you want to raise the front, go with the 5100s.

 

Bilstein shocks are part of the TRD package. If a TRD does not have Bilsteins, either the shocks have been changed out, or the owner bought TRD stickers and made a "knockoff". Check the VIN.

 

Agreed. I didn't know about the Tokikos.

 

my first gen dc came with the crappy as hell tokicos.

 

Hmm... i have a 2002 double cab model TRD off orad package they came with Bilsteins. Great shocks ! I think it comes down to he dealer giving you the right goods for the right package. If your haggling too much you might loose some those perks of the package. Bilsteins are not cheap, but should be standard on all TD off road packages, regardless of model truck......first genereation trucks.

 

my 03 came with tokicos they were alright replaced with bilsteins that are garbage
