My buddy says you can crank these trucks up to 3.5". I want to see someone who has done this and know how it drives.

    Couldn't agree more!

Best bet, get a three inch lift, and add the largest tire you want to deal with.

When I was a Tacoma noob and kept reading about guys ragging on 6" DB lifts, I seriously thought DB stood for "douche bag":anonymous:

Current Setup is Eibach 620lbs Springs on Bilstein 5100's, Dakar leaf pack with Dirt King UCA's. Tires are 285 Wildpeak M/T on Method 701 wheels. RCI Sliders, Front Skid bed rack with Tuff Stuff Roof Top Tent, and US Offroad winch insert bumper with Smittybilt XRC 9.5k winch.
Originally I put on an OME lift. After some issues with the front shocks, I swapped everything out for the 5100's with Eibach 620lbs springs and kept the Dakar's in the back. From what I have noticed height is still about the same, but it rides a lot better than the OME. After loading the truck down bed full of firewood, rooftop tent, bed rack etc. I have yet to have the back end squat on me. If I had to do it over again I would have gone with the 5100's, Eibach springs, and Dakar's from the beginning. I have been running it for about 7 months now with no issues.

(Note: I have a winch and bumper insert so you may not need the Eibach 620lbs springs up front)
