I am ready for a lift also. I just sent them a message. I noticed their complete OME and 5100’s are out of stock..sure it has to do with tax season! They are active here and hear a lot of good dealing with them.

Current Setup is Eibach 620lbs Springs on Bilstein 5100's, Dakar leaf pack with Dirt King UCA's. Tires are 285 Wildpeak M/T on Method 701 wheels. RCI Sliders, Front Skid bed rack with Tuff Stuff Roof Top Tent, and US Offroad winch insert bumper with Smittybilt XRC 9.5k winch.
I had the 885 springs on for a little bit, but it was causing the front to dip down with the weight of the bumper and winch. The 886 springs are known to blow the 5100's (not designed for them) which I know a guy this happened to. His 5100's last less than a year with 886's. The reason I picked Eibach is they had the correct supporting weight I needed. Plus figured if Bilstein and Eibach worked together to pair them together they were probably good enough for me.

My personal opinion is I think a lot of people go overboard with suspension setups. Just my opinion of course.

(Apologize for typos I am on my phone)

Yes I know they have taken care of a lot of people here which is why I want to do business with good people, I sent him a p.m. and she was quick to return and was very knowledgeable and helpful. When I ask about calling she said they were very busy and sometimes it was harder so that's why I was trying to learn everything or get all my details from the TW Brotherhood before I called and wasted her time and was indecisive LOL

Agreed, and all front end components at exstream angles. CVs would hate you.

    I did some stuff.
OME 886s and Nitro 90000s with a JBA UCA in the front and Dakar Med. duty in the rear. sitting on 285/75R16s

*EDIT* i have a streamline bumper and winch up front thats why i went with 886s. without the extra front weight i dont recommend them unless you like knocking your teeth out everytime you hit a bump but once you add that extra weight it rides smooth....for a 4x4 truck.

I just sold my 2005 tacoma after about two months of owning it. It had the fab tech DBL and it was the worst ride off-road iv ever experienced. Not to mention the turning radius was absolutely awful. I would not recommend a DBL to anyone who is planning on switching it into 4wd

Thanks guys so much for the info....I did search but there wasnt much for a DB lift on 2nd gens, also the angles of the front end is what worried me hence the DB want.....I guess I know now what to do. My dad had a front end shop for 20 yrs so I have always been taught to adjust the parts not just put them in an awkward angle LOL if that makes sense.

Anymore pics of Bilstein or OME type stuff and reasons pro or con for such is still appreciated. Still on the fence between those 2 now.....decisions decisions

What problems did you have with the OME shocks? I've had them for about 5000 miles with no problems.

I installed them and after about 3000-6000 miles I started hearing a squeaking noise up front. After inspecting the front I notice the struts were loose. After tightening it I went maybe another 2000 miles before they were loose again. However, this time they wallowed out my top hats.

From what I could tell, the bushings were bigger than the washers for the top of the strut. This allowed the washer to dig into the bushings and loosing the strut itself. I could be wrong, but just what I gathered from inspection. I know on my 5100's the washer is bigger than the bushing and I have yet to have any problems.

Interesting. I haven't heard any squeaks, but will keep an eye out for it.

Yeah, I don't think it was really anyones fault just more or less a fluke with mine lift kit. I have heard similar stories, but it was at fault of an improper install. I have searched and from what I can tell everything was installed correctly.

Well I posted in their section on the form that I'd like to hear from them and want to know a couple different options. I called yesterday and left a voicemail and haven't gotten anything back and I tried calling again today no answer. I would love to deal with him but if it doesn't work out where else would you guys suggest?
