Whats up guys! Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I was trying run set of low mileage Bilsteins (4600) front struts that were on a 2017 Tacoma TRD/Offroad on to my 2018 Tacoma SR/4x4. Upon further inspection of the units, looks like the 4600 Bilsteins strut mounts appear to have 4 mounting bolts versus the Hitachi struts with the 3 mounting bolts that are currently on my 2018 Tacoma. Are these strut mounts interchangeable or is there a strut mount kit that will allow me to bolt on the Bilstein (4600) with the 4 bolts on to my Tacoma? Refer to the picture. Im trying to run the Bilstein strut on the right. Left one is obviously the stock Hitachis with the 3 mounting bolts.

Place the new strut in location and hit it hard on the bottom with a hammer to mark the bolt locations. Then drill out new bolts with a step bit to size.

I’ve never seen a 4 bolt top hat on a Tacoma EVER. Even aftermarket is 3 bolt. Makes me think it was involved in a crash and the shock was ripped out of the mount and instead of replacing the mount, they just redrilled holes and put a different hat on the stock coilover

TUNDRA is 4 hole.. You better check your part numbers to see what you actually have.

Damn, didn’t even know that. Good information. Definitely needs to check because if they are tundra, they’re built for more weight and different valving.

Right on for the reply. Not too familiar with Toy Tacos, but these might be Tundra struts, but advertised as Tacoma struts via local CL ad.. let me run some part numbers like u suggested. Thnx again
