Ok so who here local is running subs and and amp with the factory H.U.? I just traded a guy that sold his Tacoma for these...

    http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/...-W-DX500.1-8-Gauge-Kit-Kicker-Package-2023-DX

I'd like to hook them up but I'm not familiar with the newer head units that don't have RCA's on the back. I have a Line out converter but some members here say it won't work and others say it will. Figured if I could see it in person I would have a better idea of what direction to go in. I really don't want to and can't afford to buy a clean sweep or a recurve from *********.

When is the next meet anyway?

I do. I did not use a LOC. Tapped into the L+R rear speakers which will work if your amp has high-level inputs. Works and sounds great. I'd be more than happy to let you check it out. I have aftermarket front speakers amped as well. Still have the rears running off the stock head unit.

Where are you from and how did you hook your amp without a loc? The factory h.u. Doesn't have RCA hook ups.

I am near the Shadyside/Highland Park area.

Unfortunately it looks like the amp you are looking at doesn't have high level (also known as speaker level) inputs. All a line output converter does is take your speaker signal, and convert it over to RCA cables, which you then hook up to the RCA inputs on an amp. With speaker level inputs, you can skip the RCA cables and use speaker wire to feed the signal to your amplifier.

You can still wire your amp the exact same way as mine, but you will need to use your LOC. You can also tap into the wires behind the head unit. Either will work.

Ok. I already got the stuff I linked, I traded a local guy for the subs, box, amp and amp wiring kit. I have a couple different amps from other vehicles and stereo's I've had over the years so if I need to use a different amp that's fine with me. Thanks man. I might be able to stop over or meet somewhere this weekend to check out your setup.

Went to Children's Hospital this morning (my 3 year son has another ear infection) and parked in the garage next to a dark green Tacoma dcsb that had pocket fender flares, a black bull bar on the front and aftermarket headlights and taillights. Anyone here know this person? Sorry I didn't get a picture (too busy taking care of my son).

Since you were guys were talking about stereos. Finally got sick of my dash kit around the head unit poping out. Took it out to find out what the issue was. Only had one of the four plastic clips on it. The rest were wraped in electrical tape to make it snug.

Anyone got any idea what the plastic clips are called/ part number. Or where to find them. I tried pep boys and autozone with no luck

Pittsburgh guys, I have a set of TRD Sport wheels I need to get rid of. The tires are shot and the rims need refinished. Previous owner used crap paint on them, I started to refinish to use as winter wheels but I'm ditching my 4Runner and have no use for them.

$50 and come pick them up. Won't have the ability to transport them after Saturday.

Going to go to a Pirates game with my friends/new girl here soon. Kinda short notice but maybe this weekend or next. If any of yinz would like to come I can get a bunch of seats together if you guys want to paypal me the money. I understand if you aren't that trusting and would rather attempt to get similar tickets at the gate but I will be purchasing my tickets before hand. I plan on just going with the $15 seats.

They are tube steps. Trail FX brand. Stainless steel and brand fucking new in the bubble wrap. I paid almost 300 for them. Make me a fair offer on them and I'll get them to you as soon as I head to Pitt again!

If you were already planning on going with sliders and the nerfs are only temporary, personally I'd go with the cheapest option since they cut into your budget the least.

    Bring on them stacks!

Actually getting a 2015 Jetta TDI if the dealer can track what I want down. Seems as though they're quite popular right now.

Probably pick up another Explorer or a Discovery to wheel with. If I'm going to own something with a ton of problems its at least going to be more interesting than a Toyota.

LOL. I guess your 4Runner has had multiple problems from your comment. You'll be better off with a straight offroad rig that's not your dd and something you're paying on still. Something you won't mind getting body damage.
