I was on Slickdeals today and found a deal for 5 free quarts of G-Oil, which turns out to be a fully synthetic, biodegradable motor oil from a company called Green Earth Technologies.

I'm all for ridding the world of toxic chemicals and substances, and I've switched all my household cleaners and detergents to all natural alternatives with great satisfaction as far as performance, and peace of mind as far as health detriments (it seems like everything gives you cancer these days).

But engine oil? I'm not sure I would put something in my crankcase that could be naturally biodegraded...that being said I'll probably try some in my DD escort next oil change.

    Any thoughts?

not to many, love it the way it is
green motor oil was bound to happen at some point. Hopefully the company did not install LED lighting in the manufacturing plant where the motor oil is made and then claim their oil is now made green :)

lol yeah, and I'm also hoping that it isn't Canola Oil, either.
