Hey guys figured I'd chime in. Planning to make a video of the install process. Been running these for about 6 months now.

I wheel my rig pretty hard. If you check out youtube.com/dirtcomplex I'm not easy on my 4runner.

Your best bet is to get the stock bolts aligned first, then swap these in. Ive been to 2 "typical alignment shops" and they might not touch them cuz they're aftermarket. I hit a rock pretty hard at high speed and it definitely kept the control arm from going completely out of wack. It did however move a millimeter due to the play between the stop cam and the factory ears that hold it in place. Not enough to warrant another trip to the alignment shop. I was pretty impressed though, because I was able to drive home without worrying about eating up my tires on the highway.

Install Tip: put the stop cams in place first and then slide the bolt through. The bolt will push the control arm into the proper place. If you put the bolt in first and then try to align the cams you'll have a harder time getting them into place.

The flat Stop Sign sides themselves act as the "D" shape of the bolt. They lock in against the eccentric tabs. The flats prevent the Stop Cams from getting knocked out of alignment.

i just finished a complete front end rebuild and picked up the truck today. it's all about the alignment and keeping it perfect to the details. my builder agreed we're gonna try these when i get them, probably try to install next week or the week after. I'll let you know how the install goes.

Thanks to everyone who posted a truck picture. We have our two winners:

    hoarder23
    fatfurious2

Shay (hoarder23) was actually in the area when I contacted him and picked up the Stop Cam kit directly. That's his "Am I at the right address?" face.

I also appreciate everyone who ordered in the past week. If you ordered and PM me your name, T-shirt size and address, I'll send off a Bison T-shirt as a consolation prize. Even the winners didn't get that. ;)

Got mine in the mail today. Hoping to get it installed soon, tired of my alignment getting knocked out just driving around town on these shitty roads.

Is this normal? Seems like the forward bolt has way too much play inside the bushing. 20200905_145902.jpg 20200905_145842.jpg

Are those 2nd gen LCAs? The 3rd gen version has larger bushings.

They are 2nd gen LCAs although they are moog replacements. But they have the same play in my oem LCAs. The bolt supplied literally fits inside the oem cam sleeve. No way to adapt the two together though. Ended up putting the OEMs back in.
