For OP and others with 2015 Tacoma and tow pkg. did your truck come with 7 pin to 4 pin converter such as fits boat and utility trailers? Mine did not but salesman came through and ordered one for me at no cost.

It is plainly listed on the Maroney sticker as part of the tow package option. For $650 it should be included.

Congrats on the new truck. Props on the 6 speed manual! Help save the manual! Are you going to order and install the TRD quick shift? I would imagine it being hard to go from having one to not having one?

I couldn't afford to wait the 4-5 months it takes to order a TRD Pro, but if I did Inferno is definitely the way to go!

Got a set of Wheeler's three leafs sitting in the shed. Ordered them to cure the sag of the 2008, but traded for a newer Tacoma while waiting for the recall. The new truck has the four leaf pack and I am not sure what I want to do when I install the wheeler 3 leaf. The bottom leaf of the factory pack is the same length as the top leaf of the wheeler. Which should I leave off as both is not an option.

Enjoy the six speed. Last two 4x4's were manuals and they were always on the driveway as no one could drive the 5 speed. When the son got to driving, he learned to sling mud all over the place in the truck. The daughters tried, but they liked their Corollas better.

Hell yes it should, but no mine did not. I have a few of them laying around though, I don't use them anymore but when I had a boat I needed them. I prefer the 7 pin because I run a brake controller.

For anyone that needs one hopkins sells a decent one pretty cheap. I have had a few that were plain junk, usually picked up at truck stops etc.

insane... only truck I have ever payed full price for, but I wanted it and I plan to keep it for years until my kids are bigger.

After the dealer added options and 125k extended warranty it was a little over 40k.. ill be walking funny for awhile but in a few years I won't care anymore! For me the color is what sealed the deal. Money wise my 2013 was much better after mods I was only in it 34k or so I think.

On a positive note, the last truck was built in Mexico I think and I was tired of the little issues it kept having!

The 6spd in this one shifts better, I don't know why but its butter smooth, as far as I know its exactly the same but it was built in texas this time!

Haha honestly yes I am thinking of doing the quick shift again. Surprisingly this one shifts better.. or smoother is a better word, the other one shifted good but was more notchy and even with the quick shifter (shorter throw) it was slower shifting.

It will probably be awhile though I plan on trd blower and armor first!

Mexico built Tacomas aren't any more problematic than Texan built Tacomas. Just a heads up.

And test run of 3m paint defender sprayed. This is my first go around with this product and I decided not to spray emblems etc to be safe. But so far its really working as advertised! It self levels very nicely. I have sprayed quite a lot of paint and was more careful than I think I needed to be spraying it, I believe even with mediocre technique it would still self level very well.

Sprayed some test panels as well to see if its repairable or if any chemicals effect it etc!

I would like to believe that.. :) and its probably true.. my last truck just had problems I have not had with any other tacoma pickups I have owned and I blame Mexico. Fair or not lol.

Was that truck on someone's lot or ordered?

    I've not seen a 6spd one yet.

Looks badass. It's exactly as I would have ordered it!!

I searched from January until April. Had almost 10 dealers say they could get it, and turns out the could not. I found a total of 5 to date, this one was on the lot. A few states away but it was on the lot, and it was a task to get it.

Of the 29 in the Southeast the last time I tallyied them up there were zero 6spd manuals in the region, so I had to go out of the region.

There is one in Missouri, or was one that arrived a few days ago. They called me and I told them I got one, but it wasn't on thier site yet and I can't remember the name at the moment.

It has to be rare, and the dealer knew that and basically meant I had to pay or walk away. This time I wanted it so I payed :)

Thank you! I am excited to have it. I hated the automatic in my 2012, and my 2013 was a truck I loved but my family outgrew the access cab. Besides, I don't have to listen to my wife telling me its a lemon anymore like my 2013 :)

I will be driving thus one until its worn out. I have considered swapping a long bed frame and long bed down the road. We shall see, I have about 200k before a major overhaul or replacement is in order.
