What does the clutch accumulator valve do & why does removing it help(feel)?

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Its basically a one way restriction in front of the slave cylinder. It lets fluid in, but it slows it down coming out.

Toyota doesn't say much about them, but I believe they are for novice drivers. However you want to say that.

They thing basically slows down the engagement of your clutch, reducing drivetrain shock if you dump the clutch regularly or just suck at life.

I always wondered why the clutch feel sucked so much in my 6spd Tacomas. Now I know! It feels exactly like every other clutch I own or drive now.

Best part is the thing only cost 2 bucks to get rid of, all you need is a

    Metric union, M10 x 1 inverted flare

Krog someone told me you stuffed 285s on those TRD Beadlocks. Is this true and do you have a photo if you did. Did you have to trim anything or do they fit just fine with no rubbing?

Its not, I had 285s on my 2013 for awhile with basically the same lift, had quite a but of rubbing so I put them back on my 2006 4runner.

I still have the stock bfg at 265/70r16 on her now, until they are good and worn and I can afford something different again

I think I am going to try the 255/85r16 size bfg mt next

The 255/85/16 BFG MTs are what I have on mine now. No rubbing with the sway bar in place.

I also burned out my stock clutch with under 6000km. I've been driving manual transmissions my whole life. And Toyota also wouldn't warranty it. So 3+and light steel flywheel. Great clutch.

So far I like it a lot, has been averaging about 18 mpg daily where my PRO gets right about 12.

The interior is nice, the new features are a nice update. It drives almost identical, not surprising given the bones are the same.

The 3.5 with six speed auto is pretty sluggish, unless you are hard on the skinny pedal and then it has decent pep to its step. I can't say it reall feels any more or less powerful than my old 4.0 5 speed auto. Deffinately lacks the grunt of the supercharged 4.0 with manual.

I am very surprised how quiet it is just cruising, and how smooth it runs! They have done something, not that my other Tacoma's have been loud but this one is deffinately less so.

I love the power slide rear window, didn't think I would care for it since I can reach my slider and dont use it much anyway but it is a nice touch.

The radio has a newer better screen but the Entune, navigation and programs are all the same as my 2015. I did not get the blindspot or backup radar crap, I have no interest in that!

The interior is all black, it shows dust prints etc really quick.

Toyota did not include floor mats... what the hell. No big deal but seriously?

I have not loaded it much or towed with it yet, but the springs in the back feel better than my 2012 or 2015 did stock.

I like it more than I thought I would, although I still do not like the grill. Or the approximate 4 inches they added to the front that is all dead space..

Its got gen 2 Nitto Terra Grapplers, so far they are quiet and ride nice. No rain or anything else to say about them.

The newer steps that they throw on I like better than the oval ones on my 15, they stick out farther and look better. Good door ding protectors.

Been driving it every other day, and my PRO on the other days. It rides softer over the little cracks and stuff but it is considerably more harsh over bigger bumpa and holes.

Any comparison you might be interested I could do, as I have both still haha.

I have been out of the loop so long I don't even remember where I was on here.

Anyway, still love my 2015 Pro, and the 2017 Turd offroad has been a great truck!

Airbags, run them on both the 2015 and 2017.

This is the firestone kit, and I absolutely love them. I would like to add daystar cradles, they limit travel off road. No damage yet but more 3 wheeling than typical before. 20161202_164200.jpg

    Sorry for the massive delay.

The 2017 has been a great truck. Honestly it has grown on me a lot! It gets substantially better MPG, and it tows well too!

The 3.5 feels weird, like a honda engine no balls down low but goes hard up top. At first I was not a fan, but after about a year and 25k it has become normal. I drive it half the time to save gas as my commute is about 50 miles a day, and my 85 daily is currently busted.
