Both are long tubes, but the URD version is all equal length. So no opposing exhaust events. Should equate to higher torque. There is actually a dyno on XRU, of just a long tube header mod.

Which can be compared to Doug Thorley's dyno.

Ok sweet thanks man! Hopefully my bolts will be ok I live by Sa Antonio so not to much corrosion down here but you never know. The gaskets that are on the original manifolds are to be resused with the urd headers correct?

They will be arriving tomorrow! Hopefully I'll have them on Sunday or Monday and I'll post some results. Quick question the long tubes lean out my AFR more right?

In closed loop, no, the af sensor that you install into the headers will still function as normal. In open loop, probably, but how much, and is it enough to matter, that I don't know. Ask Gadget/URD. He may recommend a maf cali, assuming he has a map for those headers too.

I have the Maf Cal with the base tune and URD TCAI but I haven't put the intakes tune on it yet. I was holding off because I figured the headers would lean it out and didn't want to go to lean and not be able to monitor the AFR through the cats sensors. I don't think he has a tune for the headers though cause when I asked he just sent me the tune for the intake.

The af sensor is further upstream and still should be installed in the headers, either in the collector, or on one of the header tubes. This will control closed loop. The cat sensors are located further downstream and are not used, they are replaced with the sensor eliminator. These are not used to set injector pulse, but to monitor cat efficiency, if I remember all this correctly

Ahh ok gotcha! See I thought the simulators were for AFR sensors. So if I were to tune it and It were to go to lean which I doubt it would, but to be on the safe side that sensor would still throw a lean code?

Ok good to know just making sure, and like Lurkin stated the AFR sensors aren't being replaced with the simulators just the rear cat sensors?

exactly. youll be using the o2 sims since youll be losing a set of your cats with the installation of the headers.

Ahhh yes I forgot terrible memory lol How much do you think they would charged to just do the headers? Couldn't be too much considering there is no welding just Bolt-on

I would have done the same, but since it was going to be there all day for the exhaust anyways.. plus.. i needed them to weld in the AFR sensor.
