Hey man! It's an OZ-USA bar. Super bright, like SUPER. I'm actually getting some adhesive taillight tint to put on it to lower the brightness a bit. Otherwise no issues -- great build quality, no problems with Wisconsin winter which is a decent test of components.

Nice and the mount? Looking for something for when POV is required for those emergency situations (which it looks like you do too!) :)

The RTT carrier is fairly unique in that we built it to work with the factory tonneau cover, while still being somewhat low-profile. For that to work, we decided to build a system that hinged, at both the front and back of the bed. This allows it to be angled up to facilitate tonneau cover flipping, as well as total removal of the RTT and rear hoop when necessary. To make this even easier, the hoops and RTT carrier are attached with trailer hitch pins, so flipping the carrier up is as easy as pulling 2 pins and lifting. The rear hoop attaches to a set of bed stabilizers, and the front hoop bolts through the bed into the frame near the wheelwell. This allows the rack to be strong while not sitting on the top of the bedsides nor using the bed rails at all.

Also pictured here is the in-bed switch with voltmeter. This monitors the house battery, has 2 USB charging ports, and 4 switches to control the water pump, RTT power, bedlights, and camp lights.

The mount is the factory mount that came with the light, but welded to the front hoop and bedlinered.

All of the metal on my truck is bedlinered for ease -- I'd love to powdercoat it but it all gets pretty beat up and redoing the bedliner is much easier than redoing the powdercoating. Potentially in the future I'll pull it all apart and powdercoat it, but I don't know if I see a huge need for it yet.

Gotcha, looks like your most recent post cleared up my question - custom bed rack to mount the bar on. I'm just dumb and just wasn't being clear :bananadead:

No worries man! it's a solid light for sure. Honestly, you could probably mount it behind the rear seats [behind the glass] and it would be plenty bright... It doesn't have any strobe capabilities though, so you would need to wire it into a control unit if you were planning on using it for any sort of strobe system.

I suppose if you used a switch-pro, you could set it to strobe via that -- its one of the settings on the app.

Sounds good! I've already wired a few into the dash. Wonder if it would be possible to wire into factory lighting. My current idea/theory is to grab something like this and wire it into the factory brake/hazard lights. That way, no switch is needed, it would simply work with what already exists. Not sure how doable that would be though....or it its technically legal

That's currently how mine is set up -- wired into reverse, turn/hazard, brake, and running.

The RTT carrier covers my 3rd brake light, so I installed this to remain legal in terms of brake lights.

Obviously using it for responding would be....gray....in its legality. In my state, first responders are required to run lights and siren, so no go for me. I don't work for a first response service though, so I get to respond with the box every time

For sure! I personally this this is the best design for my needs -- I didn't want to get rid of my factory tonneau, and wanted to be able to run both the rack and the tonneau. I got the tonneau with the truck, otherwise I probably would have gone with a roll-up version instead, which would allow me to lower the rack significantly, as well as make it 1 solid piece.

Thanks man! Sorry the thread is a bit dead -- I'll update it soon with some more stuff. I got the winch installed and reshaped the front bumper a bit. I drew up a new high-clearance rear bumper with dual swing-away, and am in the process of switching to a +2 Long Travel kit.

So it'll be a fun fall!

Not as much as I'd like. There's some decent offroad up north by my girlfriends cabin, but nothing like out west.
