Hmmm... Blues and Brews festival is in Telluride Sept. 16-18. Excellent excuse to ride the Black Bear Pass! :D

We were just there. Ran Engineer, Imogene, and Ohpir on Tuesday. Wednesday we went up to Clear Lake and went home via Cinnamon. Epic beauty up there this year.

I just made a tread of some of my pics. Hancock was more scenic than Tincup IMO. Tincup does have a pretty tought section that is optional that we didn't take cuz the sliders havent came in yet. Other than the optional section of Tincup the trails aint hard at all but you dont go there for the challange. :D

Question: NYCO, you've seen my truck. Do you think I could take it down Black Bear Pass? I'm not worried about the clearance, it's the fact that it's a DCLB and those switchbacks would be... interesting.

(btw... I'm totally ignoring the fact that my wife has FORBIDDEN me from doing BBP after seeing a video of it on YouTube) :D

it would be good to have her there to help as your eyes outside the truck for sure, and i'm sure she'd like the fact that she's helping out too.. but you should be fine, i've seen hummers go down those switchbacks before..just take it real easy

the trail is not too challenging technically, but it has a big pucker factor and should not be attempted when slick

None yet but I am wanting too
I love Black Bear. Not technical but the views are AWESOME. Itching to take my new Tacoma down it. We have done it twice in my wife's Rubicon.
