Gorgeous truck man! Black is a complete bitch to keep looking good...but it is very, very rewarding when it's all waxed up and shiny!

Sorry to hear about your roof. I feel your pain, my truck had really bad acid rain damage on the roof that was clearly visible. It already had it when the dealer sold it to me but I just didn't see it until a few weeks later. I brought the truck to the dealer and they agreed to have the roof repainted on their dime (surprising, really). Might as well try and see if they can help ya out, if it was like that when you bought it.

Hey man thanks! Yeah I'm just bummed now thinking I have scratches all along the roof on my brand new truck. I never thought in a million years to climb up into the bed of the truck to check out the roof - lesson learned. I may swing by the dealer and see if theres anything they can do (doubt it but). Worse case I'll just clean her up good and get a good wax job on her.

Definitely take it back to them and tell them to fix it - worst they can say is no, but I would fight to the death for them to fix it.

Makes me want to go look at my roof...

I definitely would. What can they do offer to buff it? Just sucks ya know - I'm just real anal about stuff like this. It'll drive me crazy just knowing they're there.

Yeah dude, it would make me experience physical pain knowing it was up there.

I wouldn't worry about how they would fix it...I would just make sure they do fix it.

Buff or paint would be the only option but now is the time to have them do it, not just because it's so new, but I imagine the longer you wait, the harder it will be for them to match the paint.

Good luck man - post up and let us know what they say!

Looks perfect! Just like mine, except for double vs. access. Hope you love it as much as I love mine.

Well emailed the dealer about the scratches. They asked me to bring in the truck so I'm going to stop by after work tonight and see what they can do for me.

Ok dealer is willing to take care of the scratches. They agreed to buff them out and cover any cost if for some reason that it can take over an hr they will provide me with a rental car. Just glad the are handling this and not trying to pass the buck. :D

Well just got my truck back and wow wish I never took it - they said they'd fix it. Yeah they fixed it alright. The scratches are less noticeable however the roof is now covered with swirl marks! Wtf - Really!!! Can't wait to call Monday to bitch at someone. I would have addressed it today but was home waiting for Directv until after they closed so they left my keys in the console. Directv was a bust too was supposed to get upgraded to whole home dvr with some updated equipment but yeah that didn't happen either. What a way to start the weekend.

I picked mine up last week. Looks like the same truck as mine :) mine is pulling slightly to the left. I think it needs an alignment.

     :(

I was worried that would happen but I assumed they would at least take it to a real body shop or have a independent detailer come in.

Total bummer dude - I would definitely bitch them out and tell them the work they did was total shit and they need to fix it right. Maybe bring in a pro who is going to use new pads, do it inside and use good product.

If you ever watch a dealer do detail work like that, they usually do it outside and use a pad/buffer that looks to be 80 years old.

    Bummer about DirecTV too!

Let us know what the dealer says when you take it back to them.

    Fink
